Overview

The UMA-V0 is a heavy-duty 3-prong plug-in relay module delivering up to 15 Amps of 120VAC power — a professional-grade module for remote virtual lighting anywhere in the home. Combine with the Anywhere 3-Way Virtual Switch Kit (V3WAY-A) or Anywhere Switch (US1-V0) to control 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or more lights/appliances throughout the home.

Applications

Use one or more UMA-V0 modules to control multiple lights or appliances remotely — living room lamps, fish pond pumps, room heaters, fans, master bedroom lamps, holiday lighting, and more. Combine with a Scheduler-Timer (model UCS) for automatic control; a common choice among landscaping professionals for replacing rotary timers on landscape lighting transformers. Up to four separate virtual control zones can be used in a home.

Additional expansion accessories: Anywhere Virtual Controlled Receptacle Outlet (URD-V0) and Anywhere Virtual Fixture Relay Module (UFR-V0).

Circuit Requirements

• Hot and neutral (black and white wire) power connections are required at Anywhere Switch (US1-V0) locations.
• The Anywhere Switch (US1-V0) controls incandescent, fluorescent, halogen, LED, magnetic, and electronic low-voltage lighting transformers/ballasts (1W min, 900W max). Ballasts for 120VAC metal-halide or mercury/sodium fixtures may need isolation (see model ZNF10A). Controls 120VAC/60Hz motors up to 7.5A max.
• Up to 4 separate virtual control zones can be used in a home, via the 4 available communication channels. Optionally use a Scheduler-Timer (model UCS) to add a secondary receive channel for "All On/Off."
• For maximum communication distance, switches and devices should be on the same circuit/breaker. If on different circuits, they should be on the same phase (both Phase A or both Phase B).
• If using both Phase A and B circuits, or the home has more than one breaker panel or is over 2,500 sq ft, a phase coupler is recommended (see model ZPCI).
• Not intended for 3-phase (commercial/condo) applications unless switches share the same breaker or phase.

Note: The Anywhere Series is not compatible with any of Simply Automated's PC-Configured, Pre-Configured, SimplySmart™, or other UPB/UPStart-configured products.
