Installation manual for the Simply Automated Anywhere Virtual 3-Way Switch Kit (2-Rocker), model V3WAY-B.
Installation manual for the Simply Automated Anywhere Virtual 3-Way Switch Kit (2-Rocker), model V3WAY-B — a pair of powerline-communicating switches that provide 3-way virtual lighting control without traveler wires or batteries.
The kit includes two high-quality, professional-grade on/off switches (models US2-V02 and US1-V01) with gloss white faceplates. They replace existing mechanical switches and use the existing white neutral wire to provide true 3-way control over powerline communication — no traveler wire or batteries needed. It's compatible with Simply Automated's other Anywhere Switches and Accessories (US1-V0, US2-V0, controlled receptacle URD-V0, plug-in UMA-V0, wire-in UFR-V0), but is not compatible with any PC-Configured, Pre-Configured, SimplySmart™, or other UPB/UPStart configured products.
The technology uses safe, reliable powerline communication with no RF emissions — more reliable than X10 — and is even used in freeway bridge applications spanning over a mile.

To remove: Remove the wall plate, press the top two side-prongs of the rocker faceplate inward to unlatch, then press the two lower side-prongs inward and pull the faceplate away and slightly downward from the switch body.
To install: Align the light pipe recess and the four side prongs with the switch body's slots, then press the faceplate straight on while squeezing the prongs, ensuring all four are fully latched.
To power down a switch and its connected fixture, depress the top of the rocker, then pull the underside light-pipe tab out about 0.2" with a fingernail until it stays in place — the LED will extinguish. Push the tab back in to restore power. Use this to prevent damage when wiring hot.
There are 4 available channels. The US2-V0 transmit channels (1 & 2) are fixed and cannot be changed, but the US1-V0 channel can be changed:
Factory reset: Tap the rocker 5 times quickly (LED flashes green), then 10 times quickly (LED flashes blue), then 2 times quickly to stop flashing — the switch is now reset to channel #1.
