Sensaphone FGD-0066 Indoor Air Quality Sensor — Installation Instructions

Installation instructions for the Sensaphone Indoor Air Quality Sensor (FGD-0066) — a pollution-level monitoring sensor for use with any Sensaphone unit that accepts a 4-20mA input signal.

Overview

The Sensaphone Indoor Air Quality sensor monitors pollution levels from 0–100% with any Sensaphone unit that accepts a 4-20mA input signal. It requires a 24VDC power supply to operate (Sensaphone Part No. FGD-0052).

Wiring Notes

• Use 22AWG shielded wiring for all connections (Sensaphone Part No. FGD-0010)
• Do not route device wires in the same conduit as wiring supplying inductive loads such as motors
• Disconnect the power supply before making any connections to prevent electrical shock or equipment damage
• Make all connections in accordance with national and local codes

Installation Steps

1. Remove the cover by turning the Allen screw clockwise with the supplied wrench.
2. Verify the jumper on the sensor is in the "Current" 4-20mA position (refer to the owner's manual if needed).
3. Connect the 24VDC Power Supply Positive (+) to the terminal marked PWR.
4. Connect the 24VDC Power Supply Negative (−) to the Sensaphone Zone Negative (−).
5. Connect the Sensaphone Zone Negative (−) to the terminal marked COM.
6. Connect a wire from the LIN terminal to the Sensaphone Zone (+) positive terminal.
7. Replace the cover and turn the Allen screw counter-clockwise until it's seated flush with the cover.
8. Program the Sensaphone zone (input) for a 4-20mA sensor type with a table range of 0–2000. Program alarm limits accordingly.
