    Full text manual (for reference)

Technical specification sheet for the Pulse-Eight neo:4 (P8-HDBT-L-FFMS44-22-KIT) — a professional 4x4 HDBaseT matrix with 2 mirrored HDMI outputs and 4 HDBaseT 70m Class B PoH receivers.

    Overview

The neo:4 is Pulse-Eight's flagship 4x4 HDBaseT matrix, the result of four years of hardware and software development. It's built to give both professional AV installers and residential users exactly what they need: Ultra HD 4K video distribution (up to 340MHz), automatic EDID management, and remote diagnostics — all wrapped in a "just works" solution powered by Pulse-Eight's MatrixOS.

    Key Features

    • Ultra HD 4K video transmission (up to 340MHz), 1080p, and 3D
    • 4x HDMI inputs
    • 4x HDBaseT Class B outputs
    • 2x HDMI outputs (mirrored)
    • HDMI-CEC bi-directional control
    • Bi-directional IR control
    • Responsive web interface
    • Automatic EDID management
    • Three-year standard warranty

    MatrixOS

MatrixOS is the 340MHz video processing core of the neo:4, giving instant access to all connected source devices in 4K, 1080p, or 3D. It dynamically generates EDIDs for the best video quality on every TV and handles software updates for the HDBaseT link automatically.

    Contextual IR

With 4 inputs and 4 outputs, there are 16 possible video routing combinations. Instead of a remote with 8 or 16 buttons requiring multiple presses, Pulse-Eight's Contextual IR reduces this to just 4 buttons — one per input. Since the matrix already knows which room you're in, select 1, 2, 3, or 4 in that room to watch that source instantly.

    HDMI-CEC

Most modern TVs support CEC. The neo:4 bakes in Pulse-Eight's libCEC/USB-CEC expertise so you can use your normal TV remote's "Source" key to list and select input devices — the matrix routes video automatically even if the source itself doesn't support CEC. If the source does support CEC, you can continue controlling it directly through your TV remote.

    Web Interface & Monitoring

The responsive web interface, built directly on Pulse-Eight's REST/API, works from any mobile device, tablet, or desktop browser on the same network (via gotomymatrix.com) — anything doable on the web interface can also be done by a control system, and vice versa. Every neo professional matrix also maintains contact with Pulse-Eight's cloud management service; a Monitored LED confirms this connection is active. If a fault is detected, Pulse-Eight is alerted and can arrange remote diagnosis, a fix, or a hardware replacement — all free of charge.
