    Installation guide for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER 4-in-1 Multi-Purpose Siren/Strobe (SH-816S-BMQ, SH-816S-SMQ/x with LED strobe). This all-in-one device combines a 115dB siren, custom message/broadcast playback, a public address (PA) system input, and — on the -SMQ models — an LED strobe, all in a weatherproof (IP65) enclosure.

    Installation Overview

    1. Determine the desired location — surface mount or to a back box.
    2. Remove the two screws attaching the mounting base to the main unit, then use the included base removal tool through the wiring access hole to separate the base from the unit.
    3. Turn the mounting base over to access the wiring terminals.
    4. Thread wires (up to 8, depending on installation) through the center hole in the base.
    5. Mount the base to the wall/back box using the provided screws and gaskets, ensuring the engraved arrow points upward.
    6. Connect wires to the terminal block (SIREN –, MP3/WAV –, GND, PWR +, P.A. IN +, P.A. IN –, TAMPER x2). Audio input requires power at the PWR (+) terminal.
    7. Upload a custom message if desired (see below).
    8. Slide the main unit back onto the base, matching the orientation notch, and secure with the two screws.
    9. Test and adjust the PA broadcast volume as needed.

    Recording & Uploading a Custom Message

    • Record a message with any app supporting MP3 or WAV format. File size cannot exceed 2MB.
    • Supports MP3 (8-48kHz sampling, 8-128kbps) or WAV (8/11.025/12/16/22.05/24/32/44.1/48kHz sampling). File system supports FAT12/16/32.
    • The message loops continuously while the MP3/WAV (–) input is triggered.
    • Connect via micro-USB to a computer — the device appears as an external drive. Copy the file over, then safely disconnect.

    Notification Priority Notes

    • The strobe (SMQ models only) lights during any notification — siren, MP3/WAV message, or PA broadcast.
    • An MP3/WAV message overrides and interrupts the siren for the duration of the message.
    • PA broadcast is not designed for continuous use — it overrides and interrupts both the MP3/WAV message and the siren for the duration of the broadcast.

    Warranty

    1-year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal service, from date of sale to the original customer. SECO-LARM's obligation is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts (transportation prepaid by purchaser).
