Specification sheet for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER MVE-PN11-01Q IR Adapter over HDMI Kit — passes remote control signals through existing HDMI cabling.
The MVE-PN11-01Q adds IR remote pass-through to installations where an HDMI source is located in a different room than the HDMI display, using existing HDMI cables. The discreet adapters install directly between the devices and the HDMI cables, with the IR transmitter and receiver each fitted with a 4.5ft (1.45m) cord for convenient positioning. It's compatible with other ENFORCER HDMI products including the 4x1 HDMI Switch, 1x4 HDMI Splitter, and 4x4 HDMI Matrix.

Each HDMI adapter connects between the HDMI cable and the source/display device, with an IR port for the transmitter or receiver. The IR transmitter is placed near the HDMI source device (pointing at it), and the IR receiver is placed near the remote control's viewing position — allowing a user to control a hidden source (like a media player behind a display, or one located in another room) using their existing remote.
Display connected to source in another room: An HDMI adapter with IR receiver sits at the display end (where the remote is used), connected via HDMI cable to an HDMI adapter with IR transmitter at the source end (which points at the actual HDMI source device).
Multiple sources and displays via HDMI matrix: Multiple IR receiver/remote pairs at each display connect through an ENFORCER HDMI Matrix (MVM-AH44-01YQ, sold separately) to a shared IR transmitter pointed at the HDMI source.
