Specifications for the SECO-LARM MVE-AN1W1-01Q Wireless IR Repeater Kit — a long-range wireless infrared extender that lets universal IR remotes control equipment hidden behind cabinet doors or in other rooms.

    Overview

The MVE-AN1W1-01Q wireless IR repeater kit consists of a wireless IR emitter (placed near the remote control's line of sight) and a wireless IR receiver (placed near the equipment's IR sensor), letting a remote control operate a device that would otherwise be out of line-of-sight — for example, an HDTV or A/V component hidden in a cabinet.

    Features

    • Compatible with all universal full-band carrier frequency infrared remotes
    • High IR sensitivity range (over 23' / 7m)
    • Long-range transmission (up to 656' / 200m)
    • 915MHz operating frequency
    • FSK modulation for strong signal sensitivity, anti-RF interference, noise suppression
    • IR carrier tuning frequency: 20~60 KHz
    • Rx listen mode draws only 3.8mA
    • High receiving sensitivity (-90dBm)
    • Frequency hopping technology minimizes RF interference
    • Digital encryption ensures safety and reliability
    • Power: 500mA @ 5VDC

    How It Works

The wireless IR emitter picks up the IR signal from a remote control aimed at the source equipment location, converts it to a 915MHz RF signal, and transmits it up to 656 ft to the wireless IR receiver. The receiver converts the RF signal back into an IR signal and re-emits it toward the target device's IR sensor (e.g., an HDTV). Both emitter and receiver are powered via 5VDC.
