    Installation manual for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER 4K HDMI Audio Extractor (MAP-A599-01Q) — extracts audio from any HDMI source to digital optical or analog stereo outputs, for feeding an audio/video receiver or amplifier while passing full video through to a display.

    Overview / Connections

    • HDMI In — connect to the HDMI source device
    • Link LED — indicates HDMI input is detected
    • HDMI Out — connect to the HDMI display
    • L/R Out — connect to an amplifier, powered speakers, or TV audio input
    • Optical Out — connect to an amplifier or AV recorder's optical input

    Installation

    1. Determine the extractor's location and how much HDMI/audio cable is needed.
    2. Connect an HDMI cable from the source device to the extractor's HDMI IN.
    3. Connect another HDMI cable from the extractor's HDMI OUT to the display.
    4. Connect an audio device to the Optical Out port, and/or the L/R Out to an amplifier/powered speakers/TV audio input.
    5. Select the desired audio output with the Audio Selector switch:
      • TV — standard TV audio format
      • Bitstream — DTS 5.1, Dolby 5.1, PCM 2.0, etc.
      • 2CH — standard stereo LPCM
    6. Connect the power adapter and power everything up (a surge protector is highly recommended).

    Notes: Complete all wiring connections before applying power; unplug the power adapter before connecting/disconnecting any wiring. Premium high-speed HDMI cables are recommended. Maximum HDMI cable lengths: 16ft (5m) at 4K@60Hz, 32ft (10m) at 4K@30Hz, 50ft (15m) at 1080p@60Hz.
