    Installation

    1. Run a 12VDC power supply wire and an RJ45-terminated network cable through the wall to the mounting location. The 12VDC power wire is not needed if using PoE.
    2. Install and run the "Device Config Tool" on a computer connected to the same network as the camera.
    3. Press the "Search" button to locate IP cameras on the network. Default IP address is 192.168.1.168.
    4. Once found, click on the camera's IP address, or enter it manually in a browser.
    5. Configure the IP address (Dynamic or Static). Example static settings: IP 192.168.0.10, Netmask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS copied from the PC's network properties.
    6. Log in with user ID "admin." On first login, you'll be prompted to set a new password. If the password is forgotten, hold the RESET button on the camera for about 10 seconds and reload the Device Config Tool.
    7. To access the camera's web interface, install the prompted Active-X web plugin.
