    Adjusting the 2-Axis Gimbal

Move the camera vertically up and down, or rotate the camera, to change the camera lens angle.

    Camera Layout

The mounting base houses the MicroSD card slot and a reset button. The base of the camera includes a RESET button, a ZOOM control, a CVBS/LAN port, an RJ45 Ethernet jack, and a DC power jack. The dome cover is secured with a retaining wire and cover screw. Important: Do not cut the DC jack or RJ45 jack — doing so voids the warranty.

    Before Starting

    1. Read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
    2. Use the camera within the given temperature and electrical limits.
    3. Do not mount in areas exposed to radiation, strong magnetic fields, or strong electrical signals.
    4. Do not point the camera at the sun — heat could damage the camera, even when not in use.
    5. Do not open or disassemble the camera; there are no field-serviceable parts inside.
    6. Do not drop the camera or subject it to strong vibrations.

    Installation

    1. Run a 12VDC power supply wire and a cable with an RJ45 jack through the wall at the location where the camera is to be mounted. The 12VDC power supply wire is not required if using PoE.
    2. Install and run "Device Config Tool" on a computer connected to the same network as the camera.
    3. Press the "Search" button to find IP cameras on the same router/network. It may take several seconds to complete. Default IP address is 192.168.1.168.
    4. Once the search completes, click the camera's IP or type the IP address manually using Internet Explorer.
    5. The camera may use Dynamic or Static IP addressing. Example static IP settings: IP Address 192.168.0.10 (last column changeable), Netmask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS1/2 can copy the PC's network properties (for internet environments).
    6. Input "admin" for the user ID and password. If this is the first login, the user will be prompted to set a new password. Note: if the password is unknown, hold the RESET button on the camera for about 10 seconds and reload "Device Config Tool".
    7. To access the camera's web interface, the user will be prompted to download and install the Active-X web plugin.
    8. Once installed, the user can view live camera video and modify necessary configurations.
