    • Do not point the camera at the sun — heat can damage it even when not in use
    • Do not mount in areas exposed to radiation, strong magnetic fields, or strong electrical signals
    • Do not open or disassemble the camera — no field-serviceable parts inside
    • Do not drop the camera or subject it to strong vibrations

    Installation

    1. Run a 12VDC power supply wire and RJ45 cable to the mounting location (12VDC wire not needed if using PoE).
    2. Install and run the "Device Config Tool" on a computer on the same network as the camera.
    3. Click "Search" to find IP cameras on the network. Default IP address is 192.168.1.168.
    4. Click the discovered camera's IP address, or type the address manually into a browser.
    5. Assign a static or dynamic IP. Typical static settings: IP 192.168.0.10, Netmask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1 (copy DNS from your PC's network properties for internet-connected setups).
    6. Log in with default user ID and password "admin." First-time login prompts for a new password. If the password is lost, hold the RESET button on the camera for about 10 seconds and reload the Device Config Tool.
