Overview

The SECO-LARM Enforcer® SD-862T-GWSQ Wireless Desktop Transmitter is a battery-powered 315MHz RF request-to-exit/access-control button designed for locations where running wires is difficult. It can be placed on a desktop or wall-mounted, and requires a SECO-LARM SK-910 (315MHz) series (or similar) receiver to function.

Installation

1. Find a suitable location. Do not house the transmitter in a metal box — this will greatly reduce range.
2. The unit can be wall-mounted (taller side of back box on bottom) or placed on a desktop (taller side of back box on top).
3. Program the transmitter into a SK-910 (315MHz) series or similar receiver before testing (see the receiver's manual for the transmitter learning procedure), then test operation in the installed location before finalizing.
4. Ensure the battery clip is securely connected, mount the transmitter in the back box in the correct orientation, and secure with the two included screws. Apply the included adhesive rubber feet for desktop use.

Changing the Message Plate

1. Carefully twist the switch assembly clockwise about 20°, then gently pull it out of the housing.
2. Insert a blunt tool (~3/8" / 10mm diameter, e.g. a screwdriver handle or pen) into the housing until it contacts the inside of the front lens/message plate assembly, then push until it pops off.
3. Remove the transparent lens and replace the message plate with the desired one (English/Spanish/French/blank).
4. Verify the message plate orientation is correct.
5. Snap the lens assembly back on and replace the switch assembly.

Note: Be careful not to pull off the wires connected to the battery clip and switch assembly during this process.

Changing the Battery

1. Remove the two front screws and take the plate off the back box.
2. Remove the battery clip from the old 9V battery and remove the battery from the bracket.
3. Place the new battery in the bracket and snap the battery clip onto it.
4. Test the unit — the LED should illuminate blue when the button is pressed.
5. Reattach the plate to the back box using the front screws.

A typical access control setup pairs this desktop transmitter with an SK-910RBQ wireless receiver, an SK-919TP4H-NUQ 4-button handheld RF transmitter, an SD-7202GC-PEQ illuminated square RTE plate, and an E-941SA-1200 electromagnetic lock (12VDC) — the desktop or wall-mounted SD-862T-GWSQ acts as a request-to-exit button that wirelessly signals the receiver to release the electromagnetic lock.
