Specifications

Installation

1. Find a location where the LCD display is easily seen and the buttons are accessible; mark it.
2. Open the case and connect the wires.
3. Connect a 12/24 VDC/VAC power supply to the power input terminals marked (+) and (-).
4. Connect the battery backup to the backup battery input terminals marked (+) and (-). For best charging results, power input should not be lower than 17VDC or 12VAC.
5. Remove the paper battery protector from the onboard clock backup battery — if not removed, the backup battery will fail to function.
6. Connect the devices being controlled to the outputs of one or two relays. Note: for DC-powered electric/electromagnetic locks, connect a 1N4004 diode in parallel with the power supply, as close to the lock as possible, to prevent interference and lock-related damage to the timer. Not required for AC-powered locks.
7. Close the case and mount the unit.

Programming Events, Holidays & Block Coding

Press SET repeatedly to cycle through menu options: SET TIME, SET EVNT, SET HOL, CLR MEMO, SET BK, and SET CODE. Press ENTER to confirm a selection and enter that submenu.

• Setting Time and Date: Press SET until "ENTER TO SET TIME" appears, then ENTER. Use UP/DOWN to set month, date, year, day of week, hour, and minute (24-hour format). Press ENTER to confirm each field.
• Programming Events: Press SET until "ENTER TO SET EVNT" appears, then ENTER. Use UP/DOWN to set the event number, relay, operating mode, and scheduled day/time. Example: 01R1PL45 WE 12:45 = Event #1, Relay #1, pulse 45 seconds, Wednesday only, occurs at 12:45.
• Programming Holidays: Press SET until "ENTER TO SET HOL" appears, then ENTER. Use UP/DOWN to set the holiday number and date. Set the year to "XX" to repeat that holiday every year.
• Clearing Memory: Press SET until "ENTER TO CLR MEMO" appears, ENTER to confirm, then UP to clear.
• Block Programming & Time Format: Press SET until "ENTER TO SET BK" appears, then ENTER. Use UP/DOWN to set the first and last day of a consecutive-day range, and to toggle between Daylight Saving Time (DS) and Standard Time (ST). The unit follows U.S. DST rules: begins 2:00 a.m. on the 2nd Sunday of March, ends 2:00 a.m. on the 1st Sunday of November.

Password Protection

• Press SET until "ENTER TO SET CODE" appears, then ENTER. Choose YES/NO to enable/disable password protection.
• Factory default password is 0000.
• To change: enter the old code, then the new 4-digit code, and confirm.
• If enabled, the password must be entered every time programming mode is accessed.

Password Reset

1. Disconnect power (and remove backup batteries if installed).
2. Within 30 seconds of reconnecting power, press and hold all four buttons (UP, DOWN, SET, ENTER) together for about 5 seconds.
3. "PASSWORD RESET" displays for 1 second, then "NEW PSWD 0000" for 1 second, then "ENTER PASSWORD".
4. The password resets to factory default 0000. No other programming is affected.
5. Enter a new password within 1 minute, or the unit exits password programming automatically.

Tandem Relay Operation

Setting jumper JP01 to "ON" causes both relays to activate together whenever an event is programmed for either Relay #1 or Relay #2 (factory default is OFF/no tandem output).

Wiring

• Power input: 12~24 VAC/VDC
• Backup battery input: 17~24VDC or 12~24VAC ONLY — an unregulated 12VDC adapter (ST-1212-U0.5A) is acceptable.
• First-person-in inputs (#1, #2): connect to N.O. ground switch — suspends timer operation while activated; once deactivated, the timer resumes the last programmed function.
• Relay outputs (#1, #2): N.O. / COM / N.C. terminals connect to controlled devices.
• Egress inputs (#1, #2): connect to N.O. ground switch.

Warranty

SECO-LARM warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of sale to the original consumer, limited to repair or replacement of defective parts (transportation prepaid to SECO-LARM). Void if damage results from acts of God, misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorized repair/alteration, improper usage, or faulty installation.
