  • SECO-LARM ENFORCER SA-025MQ — Multi-Function Timer/Counter Manual

    August 31, 2026 3 min read

Full programming guide for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER SA-025MQ Multi-Function Timer/Counter — 7 programmable modes for garage door closure, guard timing, pulse extension, and more.

    Full text manual (for reference)

    Overview

The SECO-LARM ENFORCER SA-025MQ is a Multi-Function Timer/Counter programmable for a wide range of timed or counter operations, such as garage door/gate closure monitoring, guard patrol monitoring, pulse extending, timed relay output, timed pulse relay output, input counting, or input timing. It is programmed using three pushbuttons and an LED display, and remembers the last programmed mode and settings after a power loss.

    Features

    • 12~24VDC auto-sensing operation, low current draw
    • Form C relay output (10A@24VDC)
    • 7 programmable modes: auto door closure, guard timer, pulse extender/false trigger avoidance, timed relay output, timed pulse relay output, input counter, input timer
    • Timer settable from 1 second to 11 hours 59 minutes
    • Triggerable by N.O.+ or N.C.– input; relay can trigger at start or end of timing cycle, or toggle
    • Relay can be programmed to pulse (0.5 sec on/off) or stay steady on
    • Includes manual reset input (N.O.–)
    • Mode and settings retained after power loss

    Programming Modes

    • Mode 1 — Auto Garage Door/Gate Closure: Triggers relay/buzzer if the door/gate remains open longer than the set wait time; resets on manual reset.
    • Mode 2 — Guard Timer: Countdown timer that triggers notification if not reset by a guard within the set interval (00:01–59:59).
    • Mode 3 — Pulse Extender / False Trigger Avoidance: Extends a brief input pulse to a set relay output duration (1 sec–59:59); can require 2+ inputs within 5 sec, or a continuous 5-sec input, to avoid false triggers.
    • Mode 4 — Timed Relay Output: Programs a toggle output, or a timed/delayed output starting from when the trigger is received or released.
    • Mode 5 — Timed Pulse Relay Output: Like Mode 4, but produces an alternating 0.5s on/0.5s off pulse output with no delay.
    • Mode 6 — Counter (Count Up/Countdown): Tracks trigger inputs, counting up to 9,999, or triggering output after a set countdown of trigger events.
    • Mode 7 — Timer (Count Up/Countdown): Times the cumulative duration the trigger input is active, either as a running count-up or a countdown that triggers output at 00:00.

To enter programming mode: press and hold "Enter" for 3 seconds until the display colon flashes and the buzzer sounds three times. Use "Up"/"Down" to navigate settings and "Enter" to confirm each step.

    Wiring

Terminal block connections include: Relay output (N.C./COM/N.O.), Reset input (N.O.–), Power input (+/–, 12~24VDC), and Trigger input (N.O.+ or N.C.–). A 1kΩ resistor (included) is required for Mode 1 wiring. Sample wiring diagrams in the full manual cover door/gate sensor applications (Mode 1), guard patrol (Mode 2), and general trigger/notification circuits (Modes 3-7).

    Troubleshooting

    Problem Solution
Unit does not power up Check voltage (12~24VDC) and wiring
Timer is not triggering the connected device Ensure the device is connected to the proper terminal (N.O.+/N.C.–); for Mode 1, verify the 1kΩ resistor is installed as instructed
Reset button doesn't reset the timer/counter Ensure you're connecting the correct button type for the reset input (N.O.–)
