    Programming Tips

    • Program a new Master Code immediately after installation.
    • Program the Output #1 access mode immediately — otherwise the keypad will only accept user cards.
    • Status LEDs: Right LED solid green = Standby. Left LED solid red / right LED solid orange = Programming Mode. Right LED flashing orange = awaiting code/card entry.
    • If unsure of the current mode, press # repeatedly until the right LED turns green (Standby), then enter the master code twice to re-enter Programming Mode.

    Programming the Master Code

    1. Enter Programming Mode by entering the Master Code twice. (Default Master Code: 12345)
    2. Enter 3.
    3. Enter the new 5-digit Master Code twice (e.g. for 54321: press 5-4-3-2-1-5-4-3-2-1).
    4. Exit Programming Mode by pressing #.

    Setting the Output #1 Access Mode (SPQ models only)

    Default: User card only. To accept codes, you must change the mode to 01 or 02.

    1. Enter Programming Mode by entering the Master Code twice.
    2. Enter 0.
    3. Enter one of: 00 = User card only (default), 01 = user card OR user code, 02 = user card AND user code. The Output #1 Access Mode must be set for the SK-2323-SPQ and SK-1323-SPQ to accept user codes at all.
    4. Exit Programming Mode by pressing #.

    Programming Output #1 Users

    Each Output #1 user can have a user code and/or a user card (card options apply to SPQ models only).

    User Code Only

    1. Enter Programming Mode by entering the Master Code twice.
    2. Enter a user ID number (000–999).
    3. If the left LED is red, previous user data exists — clear it by entering * (keypad beeps and LED turns green).
    4. Enter a new 5-digit user code.
    5. Repeat from step 2 for additional users.
    6. Exit Programming Mode by pressing #.

    User Card Only (SPQ models)

    1. Enter Programming Mode by entering the Master Code twice.
    2. Enter a user ID number (000–999).
    3. Clear previous data with * if the left LED is red.
    4. Swipe a new user card.
    5. Return to Programming Mode by pressing #.
    6. Repeat from step 2 for additional users.
    7. Exit Programming Mode by pressing # again.

    User Card and Code (SPQ models)

    1. Enter Programming Mode by entering the Master Code twice.
    2. Enter a user ID number (000–999).
    3. Clear previous data with * if the left LED is red.
    4. Swipe a new user card.
    5. Enter a new 5-digit user code.
    6. Repeat from step 2 for additional users.
    7. Exit Programming Mode by pressing #.

    Programming Output #2 Users

    Each Output #2 user may have only a user code OR a user card (not both).

    Output #2 User Code

    1. Enter Programming Mode by entering the Master Code twice.
    2. Enter 4.
    3. Enter a user ID number (00–09).
    4. Clear previous data with * if the left LED is red.
    5. Enter a new 5-digit user code.
    6. Repeat from step 3 for additional users.
    7. Return to Programming Mode by pressing #.
    8. Exit Programming Mode by pressing # again.

    Output #2 User Card (SPQ models)

    1. Enter Programming Mode by entering the Master Code twice.
    2. Enter 4.
    3. Enter a user ID number (00–09).
    4. Clear previous data with * if the left LED is red.
    5. Swipe a new user card.
    6. Repeat from step 3 for additional users.
    7. Return to Programming Mode by pressing #.
    8. Exit Programming Mode by pressing # again.
