    Manual for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER NE-SE01-020Q Passive Ethernet Extender over Coax — a passive (no external power required), bidirectional Ethernet-over-coax adapter set for extending IP camera/NVR connections beyond the standard 300 ft (100m) Ethernet limit.

    Overview

    The NE-SE01-020Q extends the range of any TCP/IP device beyond the standard 300 ft (100m) Ethernet limit using ordinary coax cable. The unit does not filter out any protocols, codes, or applications, ensuring compatibility with any IP camera and its software.

    Installation

    1. Determine the location where the units will be placed and how much cable will be required.
    2. Connect one unit to an IP camera or other TCP/IP output device using Cat5e/6 cable no more than 6.5 ft (2m) long.
    3. Connect the other unit to a DVR, PC, or other TCP/IP receiving device, also via Cat5e/6 cable no more than 6.5 ft (2m), through the Ethernet port on the front of the extender.
    4. Run a coax cable between the two units and connect both ends.
    5. Switch on the IP source (e.g. CCTV camera) and verify the system is functioning properly.

    Sample application: IP Camera → (Cat5e/6, ≤6.5ft) → Passive Ethernet Extender → (Coax cable, up to 650ft @10Mbps) → Passive Ethernet Extender → (Cat5e/6, ≤6.5ft) → NVR. The units are bidirectional transceivers — either can act as transmitter or receiver.

    Troubleshooting

    IP device does not function correctly Confirm both extenders are connected; check that the IP source and DVR/PC are powered; test the coax cable between units; verify the IP device works when connected directly to the DVR/PC via Cat5e/6; confirm cable lengths don't exceed the max distance
