Installation manual for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER E-964-S50TB multi-frequency single photobeam perimeter sensor.
Installation manual for the SECO-LARM ENFORCER E-964-S50TB Multi-Frequency Single Photobeam — a weatherproof transmitter/receiver perimeter security beam sensor.
| Beam channels | Single infrared beam, 4 selectable frequencies |
| Sensor range | 3~50 ft (1~15m) |
| LED wavelength / beam spread | 940nm; approx. ±10° |
| Interrupt speed | 50ms minimum trigger interval |
| Input power | 10~24VDC |
| Current draw | Transmitter 15mA / Receiver 30mA @12VDC (max) |
| Relay output | NO/NC (jumper-selectable, default N.C.), 0.5A @30VAC/VDC |
| IP rating | IP65 |
| Operating temperature | -13~131°F (-25~55°C), max 95% humidity |
| Dimensions | 3-11/16" × 2-3/8" × 1-13/16" (94×60×46mm) |
| Weight | 2.6 oz (74g) |
LED indicators: Transmitter — Green (power connected). Receiver — Green Power, Yellow Signal (weak signal / beam broken), Red Alarm (transmitter/receiver misaligned or beam broken).
Note: Do not mount where exposed to direct sunlight (sensor damage risk). Allow a minimum of 40" (1m) between transmitter and receiver.
Perimeter security installs typically stagger transmitter/receiver pairs across adjacent frequency channels (Ch1–Ch4) to avoid cross-triggering between adjacent beam pairs — including "double-stacked" configurations using all 4 channels across 4 transmitter/receiver pairs. See the full PDF for the diagrammed layout.
Transmitter: connect 10~24VDC power supply to V−/V+ terminals. Receiver: connect 10~24VDC power to V−/V+ terminals, and wire the alarm/other equipment to the COM/NC-NO terminals.
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Sensor doesn't detect the object | Object may be reflective — try changing sensor angle |
| Green power LED off | Check power connection |
| Yellow or Red LED won't turn off | Clean sensors with a damp (not wet) cloth; readjust alignment; confirm both units are on the same frequency |
| Red LED lights on detection, but output device doesn't activate | Check wiring continuity between receiver and output device |
