    Specifications for the Risco/Rokonet RKRG71FM (ViTRON Plus) — an acoustic glass-break detector with flush mount plate, providing perimeter protection for windows by detecting characteristic glass-breakage sound patterns while the intruder is still outside.

    Overview

    ViTRON glass-break detectors add perimeter protection for shop windows and residences by monitoring glass breakage and alarming while intruders are still outside. The ViTRON microprocessor uses pattern recognition analysis of the characteristic frequencies and sequences of framed pane glass breakage, providing detection combined with false-alarm immunity. Units are adjustment-free and easy to install, detecting breakage of all standard framed glass types and thicknesses while ignoring non-framed glass breakage and other false-alarm sources.

    Each detector's sensitivity is automatically calibrated during production, eliminating the "human factor" in installation. Installation is flexible: flush mounted, surface mounted, corner mounted, or swivel mounted (with optional swivel bracket) on any wall or ceiling. The ViTRON has been exhaustively tested against real-world glass breakage to ensure reliable detection. It also includes remote test capability via the ViTRON Tester, plus continuous automatic "dead microphone" supervision by monitoring environmental sounds.
