    User manual for the Qubino Flush RGBW Dimmer (ZMNHWD3, 908.4 MHz) — a flush-mount Z-Wave dimmer for controlling 12/24VDC RGB/RGBW LED strips, LED strips/bulbs, and halogen bulbs, with built-in lighting effects and Z-Wave repeater functionality.

    Overview

    The Qubino Flush RGBW Dimmer dims 12/24VDC RGB/RGBW strips, LED strips, and bulbs, or even halogen bulbs. It creates lighting effects (scenes) and adjusts color/intensity from a wide palette of 16 million shades. It includes 6 pre-programmed lighting effects — Ocean, Lightning, Rainbow, Snow, Romantic, and Party — and can be controlled remotely via the Z-Wave network or through wall switches. It also acts as a Z-Wave repeater to improve network range and stability, and supports auto-inclusion.

    Compatibility with Z-Wave Gateways

    Installation

    Danger of electrocution! Installation requires a licensed and qualified electrician. Voltage may still be present in the device's terminals even when turned off. Do not connect the device to loads exceeding recommended values, and wire exactly per the provided diagrams — improper wiring may be dangerous and cause equipment damage.

    1. Turn OFF the fuse — disconnect electrical power at the main fuse/breaker before installation or maintenance. Confirm no voltage remains in the wiring before proceeding.
    2. Install the device — connect per the wiring diagrams for the intended mode (RGBW LED strip control, or 4 independent dimmable bulbs). Place the antenna as far as possible from metal elements to avoid interference, and keep it as upright as possible for maximum range (up to 98 ft / 30 m line of sight). Do not shorten the antenna.
    3. Turn ON the fuse.
    4. Add the device to your Z-Wave network (see Inclusion below).

    Adding to a Z-Wave Network (Inclusion)

    Automatic (Auto Inclusion):

    1. Enable add/remove mode on your Z-Wave gateway (hub)
    2. Connect the device to the power supply
    3. Auto-inclusion initiates within 5 seconds of power connection
    4. Green LED stays ON when properly included

    Manual:

    1. Connect the device to the power supply
    2. Enable add/remove mode on your Z-Wave gateway (hub)
    3. Press and release the S button 3 times within 2 seconds
    4. Green LED stays ON when properly included

    Removing from a Network (Exclusion)

    1. Connect the device to the power supply
    2. Ensure the device is within direct range of your gateway/hand-held controller
    3. Enable add/remove mode on your gateway (hub)
    4. Press and release the S button 3 times within 2 seconds
    5. After exclusion the device will attempt to re-include within 2 minutes
    6. Custom configuration parameters are retained after removal

    Factory Reset: Connect to power, then press and hold the S (Service) button for more than 10 seconds (white blink on LED strip indicates reset). Device will attempt to re-include within 2 minutes.

    Operating Modes

    • Normal Mode: Each output (Q1=Red, Q2=Green, Q3=Blue, Q4=White) is controlled independently via its own input terminal — allows free adjustment of each color's saturation.
    • Brightness Mode: All outputs (Q1–Q4) are controlled together by one switch.
    • Rainbow Mode: Changes output color via the input button, smoothly cycling through the RGB spectrum; interacts with the Brightness Mode setting.
    • Scene Mode: Turns on the last or default lighting effect, or cycles to the next lighting effect.
    • 4 Dimmers Mode: Presents the device as 4 independent dimmers, e.g., for controlling 4 separate LED strips from one device. Requires re-inclusion; certain parameters (5 and 6) have no effect in this mode.

    Each mode supports momentary, toggle, and toggle-with-memory switch input types, each with distinct press/hold/double-click behaviors for turning outputs on/off, adjusting brightness, and stepping through colors or effects. Toggle-with-memory mode is particularly useful with motion sensors — only positive impulses turn the light on, negative impulses turn it off, so a motion sensor won't re-trigger a light the user manually turned off.
