    Specification sheet for the RG6/U-BC-MES CATV coaxial cable with integrated support messenger wire — a 3.0 GHz-rated, 18 AWG bare copper RG6 cable designed for aerial/self-supporting runs.

    Overview

    This is a CATV-grade RG6/U cable, 3.0 GHz rated, 18 AWG bare copper conductor, with 60% aluminum braid shield, built with an integrated steel messenger wire so it can be self-supporting for aerial/overhead installation runs (no separate support wire needed). Jacket color is black.

After aging, tensile strength retention ≥85% of unaged, elongation retention ≥50% of unaged. Cold bend: −20±2°C / 4 hrs, no crack. Jacket longitudinal shrinkage ≥5%. Center conductor break strength: 378 N. Operating temperature range: −20°C to 75°C.

    UL/c(UL) listed (E245362), CM 18 AWG BC 75°C. RoHS and CE compliant. Marked: "RG6/U 3.0GHz CATV WITH MESSENGER CE EU RoHS."

    Applications

    CATV / satellite / general coax distribution, particularly for aerial (pole-to-pole or pole-to-house) runs where a self-supporting cable eliminates the need for a separate messenger strand.
