    Extended user manual for the Qubino Flush 2 Relay (model QUZMNHBD3 and related ZMNHBD-series variants). This module remotely controls up to two electrical devices — door locks, door openers, small appliances, fans, or lights. It measures power consumption of both connected devices and can be paired with an optional digital temperature sensor to build complex, temperature-driven scenes. It also acts as a Z-Wave repeater to extend network range and stability.

    Installation

    Safety Warnings

    • Danger of electrocution! Installation requires a great degree of skill and may be performed only by a licensed, qualified electrician. Even when the device is off, voltage may still be present in its terminals.
    • To prevent electrical shock and/or equipment damage, disconnect electrical power at the main fuse or circuit breaker before installation and maintenance. Even with the breaker off, some voltage may remain in the wires — confirm no voltage is present before proceeding.
    • Take extra precautions to avoid accidentally turning on the device during installation.
    • Connect the device exactly according to the diagram — improper wiring may be dangerous and result in equipment damage.
    • Place the antenna as far as possible from metal elements as they may cause signal interference. Do not shorten the antenna.
    • The service (S) button must NOT be used when the device is connected to a 110–240V power supply.
    • Wago 221-413 splicing connectors for L and N connections must be used only when connected to 240 VAC.
    • Durability: for resistive loads (light bulbs, etc.) and 4A current consumption per individual electrical device, the product's lifespan exceeds 70,000 toggles for each individual load.

    Overload Protection

    For loads other than resistive, pay attention to the value of cos φ and apply loads lower than the rated load if necessary. Max current for cos φ=0.4 is 3A at 250VAC, 3A at 24VDC (L/R=7ms). Max power limit is automatically enforced by software — if max power is exceeded for more than 5 seconds, the output turns off until the module is next restarted, and an "Over-load detected" event is sent to the gateway.

    Adding the Device to a Z-Wave Network (Inclusion)

    Automatic Inclusion

    1. Enable add/remove mode on your Z-Wave gateway (hub)
    2. Connect the device to the power supply (with the temperature sensor already connected, if used — sold separately)
    3. Auto-inclusion is initiated within 5 seconds of connection and the device automatically enrolls in your network

    Note: the device can be automatically added to a Z-Wave network during the first 2 minutes after being connected to power.

    Manual Inclusion

    1. Enable add/remove mode on your Z-Wave gateway (hub)
    2. Connect the device to the power supply (with the temperature sensor already connected, if used)
    3. Toggle the switch connected to the I1 terminal 3 times within 3 seconds (3 pushes of a push-button, or 6 presses of a toggle switch), or press and hold the S (Service) button for 2–6 seconds if powered by 24V SELV supply
    4. A new multi-channel device will appear on your dashboard

    Important: make sure the device is excluded from your network before connecting the temperature sensor. Switch off the power supply, connect the sensor, and re-include the device to your network.

    Removing the Device (Exclusion)

    1. Connect the device to the power supply and ensure it's within direct range of your Z-Wave gateway or handheld remote
    2. Enable add/remove mode on your gateway
    3. Toggle the I1 switch 3 times within 3 seconds, or hold the S (Service) button 2–6 seconds if on 24V SELV power
    4. The device is excluded from the network, but custom configuration parameters are NOT erased

    Factory Reset

    1. Connect the device to the power supply
    2. Within the first 60 seconds, toggle the I1 switch 5 times within 3 seconds, or hold the S (Service) button more than 6 seconds if on 24V SELV power

    Resetting returns all custom parameters to default values and deletes the node ID. Use this reset procedure only when the main gateway (hub) is missing or otherwise inoperable.

    Associations

    Associations enable direct communication between the Flush 2 Relay and other devices on your Z-Wave network, without needing your primary gateway.

    Root Device

    • Group 1 — Lifeline (reserved for gateway communication), 1 node
    • Group 2 — Basic on/off status change for Q1, up to 16 nodes
    • Group 3 — Switch binary report for Q1, up to 16 nodes
    • Group 4 — Power meter report for Q1, up to 16 nodes
    • Group 5 — Basic on/off status change for Q2, up to 16 nodes
    • Group 6 — Switch binary report for Q2, up to 16 nodes

    Endpoint 1 (Wall Switch I1) / Endpoint 2 (Wall Switch I2)

    Each endpoint has its own Lifeline group (0 nodes) plus Basic on/off, Switch binary report, and Power meter report groups (up to 16 nodes each) scoped to that channel's load.

    Endpoint 3 (External Temperature Sensor)

    Lifeline group (0 nodes) plus a Multilevel sensor report group (up to 16 nodes) for the optional temperature sensor.

    Configuration Parameters (Key Highlights)

    • Parameter 1 / 2 — In-wall switch type for Load 1 (Q1) / Load 2 (Q2): push-button momentary (0) or on/off toggle switch (1, default)
    • Parameter 10 — ALL ON / ALL OFF functionality: default 255 (both active); options to disable ALL ON, ALL OFF, or both
    • Parameters 11–14 — Auto ON/Auto OFF timers for Q1 and Q2 independently, 1–32535 seconds (or milliseconds, see Parameter 15); timer resets on any ON/OFF command

    • Parameters 63 / 64 — Choose Normally Closed (default, output 0V when off) or Normally Open (output 240V when off) for Q1 / Q2
    • Parameter 110 — Temperature sensor offset adjustment (Celsius only)
