PulseWorx TPR-120 Three-Phase Repeater — Specifications

Specification sheet for the PulseWorx TPR-120 Three-Phase Repeater — a device that bridges UPB™ powerline communication across the three phases of a 120/208V Delta-Wye electrical system.

Overview

UPB communication was originally designed for single-phase powerlines; signals don't directly jump across all three phases of a 120/208V system. The TPR-120 solves this by taking any UPB multi-packet transmitted on one phase and repositioning and repeating it properly onto all three phases of the powerline — bridging the communication gap in multi-dwelling units, apartments, condominiums, and light commercial office or restaurant facilities.

Installation is simple: connect the TPR to a standard 3-phase circuit breaker. It's added to a UPB network using UPStart Setup Software, which also enables running communication tests and adjusting sensitivity.

Installation Notes

• Works best installed as close to the main circuit breaker panel as possible
• Must be installed by a qualified electrician only
• Turn off the main breaker before installation
• Install in a suitable junction box or equivalent enclosure
• Follow all applicable codes and requirements, including the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Wiring (as described in the manual)

In a three-phase electrical system, Neutral and the three phases (A, B, C) feed a 3-pole circuit breaker. From the breaker, White (Neutral), Black, Red, and Blue leads connect to the Three-Phase Repeater, which is installed near the circuit breaker panel and includes a Status LED and Program Button for setup.
