    Full text manual (for reference)

Quick Start Guide for PulseWorx SimpleWorx Fixture Module Products — models FMT-AC, FMT-CC (transmitters) and FMR-AC (relay/receiver).

    Models

    • FMT-AC — Fixture Module Transmitter, 120V input
    • FMT-CC — Fixture Module Transmitter, Contact Closure
    • FMR-AC — Fixture Module Relay (Receiver), 20A Load

    Function

SimpleWorx products provide simple remote control for lighting and other electrical loads without running new wiring — they connect ("link") to one another by communicating over existing electrical power lines. One Transmitter can link to as many Receivers as needed; each Receiver can link to up to eight Transmitters. An FMT allows an existing switch or contact closure to remotely control the load of any linked SimpleWorx receiving device (like an FMR), as if it were the transmitter's own load. The FMR load controller turns 120VAC appliances and fluorescent lamps ON/OFF based on digital commands received from a SimpleWorx transmitter.

    1. Disconnect power to the wall box/junction box before installing (remove fuse or turn off breaker)
    2. Remove any existing ceiling or wall fixture hardware
    3. Disconnect wires from the existing fixture; identify Line, Neutral, and Load wires
    4. Wire the SimpleWorx Fixture Module per the wiring diagram
    5. Temporarily restore power to test operation and Link to a Transmitter (see Operation below), then disconnect power again when finished
    6. Fit the module into the outlet box (nipple into a ½" knockout, or secure with wire ties) once proper operation is established
    7. Reinstall fixture hardware as needed and restore power to the circuit

Operation — Linking a Transmitter to a Receiver

    1. At the Transmitter: press and hold the Link button for 6 seconds — LED flashes GREEN and flashes its load (if connected)
    2. At the Receiver: press and hold the rocker switch or link button for 6 seconds — LED flashes GREEN and flashes its load
    3. Within 30 seconds, the Receiver indicates the two devices have "LINKED" — LED stops flashing, then flashes its load once
    4. Take the Transmitter out of "LINK" mode by tapping its rocker switch or link button once (LED stops flashing, flashes its load)

Note: The transmitter automatically times out of LINK mode after 5 minutes if not completed.
