The Problem

As office lighting transitions to LED — in both new construction and retrofits — installers and designers need an easy way to dim LED troffer fixtures smoothly, without flickering at low illumination levels, and without the cost/complexity of running new low-voltage wiring. California Title 24 requires dimming in many applications, adding pressure to solve this cheaply.

The Solution

Powerline Control Systems' patented Relay Dimming method uses the standard mechanical relay already inside wall switches or occupancy sensors to send messages to simple, low-cost receiver modules installed in any standard LED fixture with a 0-10V driver. Together, the switch and receiver achieve smooth dimming to any level — with no new wiring, no RF, and no programming.

• Full-featured dimming: single-tap top = 100%, bottom = Off; double-tap top = 40%, bottom = 10%
