Specification sheet for the PulseWorx KPLD/R 6/7/8 Keypad Load Controllers — an all-in-one Keypad Controller and Light Dimmer/Relay combination device from Powerline Control Systems (PCS).
Overview
The KPL Series combines a PulseWorx UPB Keypad Controller (KPC) with either a 400W dimmer (KPLD) or an 8A relay switch (KPLR), available in 6-, 7-, and 8-button versions. The unit controls its own on/off/dim function while also transmitting UPB® digital commands over the home's existing electrical wiring to trigger scenes throughout the house.
- Each keypad can be a member of up to sixteen scenes, with ramp rates from 0.8 seconds to 1 hour
- The dimmer/relay comes pre-programmed with 7 preset scenes
- KPLD (Dimmer): works with incandescent, halogen, magnetic, and dimmable electronic low-voltage transformers
- KPLR (Relay): designed for higher-wattage non-dimming loads (fluorescent ballasts, pumps, motors)
- Configured via PulseWorx UPStart™ Configuration Software
- Built-in white LEDs monitor device/scene status, with adjustable backlight intensity and indicator tracking
- 16 operating modes per button; any scene assignable to any button
- Temporary lockout setting; custom engraving available
- Power outage backup with permanent scene retention; receive sensitivity adjustment

Color codes (X): White (W), Almond (A), Light Almond (LA), Ivory (I), Black (B), Brown (BR), Gray (G). The 7-button (KPL7) model is only available in White, Black, and Light Almond.
