Product overview for the Pulse-Eight NEO Matrix — an IP-based, Wi-Fi enabled HDMI matrix switching system, made in the UK, designed around an easy web/mobile control interface for both end users and installers/integrators.

    Overview

NEO is IP-based and Wi-Fi enabled. The system is accessed by typing an address (e.g. gotomymatrix.com, or the matrix's local IP such as 192.168.0.100) into any browser, which brings up a source/display routing grid — attached sources (Blu-ray players, media streamers, etc.) on one side and attached displays on the other.

Cross-brand CEC support: NEO's CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) implementation is compatible across all TV/source brands — for example, a Samsung DVD player and a Toshiba DVD player can both be controlled through the same interface while routed to a Sony display.

    Source Switching

Changing which source feeds a given display is done by simply dragging the source icon and dropping it onto the desired display icon in the web interface — no manual matrix programming required for day-to-day source changes.

    Mobile Remote Control

Any smartphone or tablet (iPhone, Android, or tablet) can become a full remote control for a connected display — click the Display/TV icon in the NEO interface to open a scaled remote control UI. This is particularly useful for sports bars and large-volume TV venues where staff need to control many displays from a personal device.

    System Health Monitoring (End User)

A one-click health check in the customer-facing interface reports whether the system is healthy or if anything needs attention, alongside the source/display routing (drag & drop) and remote-control screen recap views.

    Installer / Integrator "Admin" Interface

Installers access the deeper Admin Interface by clicking the Admin button and entering a 4-digit dealer code. The Admin Interface provides:

    • In-depth system analysis and diagnostics
    • Ability to change CEC device labels/names
    • Streamlined control-system programming support
    • Detailed real-time hardware monitoring — including cooling fan status
    • HDBaseT Link Quality Test — runs a signal-to-noise ratio test of the HDBaseT link over a sustained period, useful for catching intermittent issues like power spikes affecting signal integrity

    Control System Integration

NEO exposes an open API, documented on the cloud monitoring site at monitoring.pulse-eight.com. NEO Matrix units can be controlled via IR, RS232, or IP. Free control drivers are available for download for a range of major control system brands; contact Pulse-Eight support for additional/custom driver requests.

    Warranty & Support

All Pulse-Eight Matrix products carry a 3-year warranty. If something goes wrong within the warranty period, return the unit to your point of purchase for repair. Pulse-Eight provides live technical support from both the USA and UK.
