Technical specification sheet for the Pulse-Eight neo:8 Modular 4K 8x8 HDMI/HDBaseT Matrix Switcher (P/N P8-MM88) — an award-winning, customisable matrix for routing and distributing high-bandwidth video signals up to 4K Ultra HD.

    Overview

Modular 4K is a premium range of customisable HDMI matrix switchers capable of routing, switching, and distributing high-bandwidth signals up to and including 4K Ultra HD. Input and output module types can be mixed and matched to custom-build a matrix to the required size and specification — including integrating a remote source away from the equipment rack. Every Modular 4K matrix is manufactured in the UK, backed by a 3-year worldwide warranty.

    Key Features

    • Ultra HD 4K video transmission (up to 340 MHz), 1080p, 3D
    • 8x HDMI or HDBaseT inputs
    • 8x HDBaseT Class A outputs
    • HDMI-CEC bi-directional control
    • Bi-directional IR control
    • Responsive web interface (control your matrix from any mobile device on the same network via gotomymatrix.com)
    • Automatic EDID management
    • Three-year standard warranty
    • Control system support (compatible with third-party control drivers)

    MatrixOS & CEC Control

At the core of the neo:8 is MatrixOS, the software running the 340MHz video processing engine. It provides instant access to connected source devices in 4K, 1080p, or 3D, dynamically generates EDIDs for optimal video quality to every display, and manages software updates for the HDBaseT link.

MatrixOS also enables HDMI-CEC control — triggering functions by communicating directly over the existing HDMI cable, eliminating the need for a separate IR kit or wiring. This lets you change sources at a display using the TV's own remote, and supports Device OSD Name Transfer.

    HDBaseT Lite or Pro

The neo:8 Modular supports both HDBaseT Lite and Pro transmitter modules. Choose the matching receiver type: Lite for runs up to 70m, or Pro for runs up to 100m.
