Complete programming guide for the PCS SimpleWorx SST-15 Sunrise/Sunset Timer — a powerline-carrier lighting/load timer with astronomic dusk/dawn calculation and remote control from SimpleWorx transmitters.

Function

SimpleWorx products remote-control lighting and electrical loads with no new wiring — devices "link" to each other by communicating over existing electrical power wiring. Each transmitter can link to as many receivers as needed; each receiver can link up to eight transmitters.

The SST-15 Sunrise/Sunset Timer turns 120VAC devices ON/OFF based on one of ten preset schedules, and can also be controlled from up to eight SimpleWorx Transmitters. Once linked to a transmitter, its load can be turned on/off remotely as if it were the transmitter's own load.

Important Safety Instructions

• Do not use this product for other than its intended purpose.
• Keep away from water — if the product contacts water or other liquid, turn off the circuit breaker and remove the product immediately.
• Never use a product that has been dropped or damaged.

Installation

1. Locate the load to be controlled and plug it into the outlet on the bottom of the SST. Note: load current (or combined rating of multiple connected devices) must not exceed 15 Amps.
2. Plug the SST into an unswitched wall outlet.
3. Turn the load power switch to ON.

Caution: Do not insert metal objects into the module while it is connected to power.

Basic Operation

The "LINK" button below the Status LED handles manual control, programming, and linking:

• For manual operation, press "Link" to toggle the outlet ON/OFF.
• The "Link" button is also used to enter programming, set values, and link the SST to up to eight SimpleWorx Transmitters.

Programming

Review All Settings Mode

Tap the Link button 3 times quickly. The LED turns off, then flashes GREEN (1-14 times per item) confirming Schedule, Time Zone, DST, Longitude, and Latitude selections in turn, with a pause between each. The load toggles once when done, and the LED returns to solid RED.

Schedule-Only Reprogramming (Without Re-setting Location)

1. Press and hold the Link button for 6 seconds (enters Link Mode) — LED flashes GREEN and flashes the load.
2. Tap the Link button 4 times quickly (enters Program Mode) — load blinks, LED blinks ORANGE.
3. Tap LINK 1-10 times to select the desired Schedule — Status LED pulses GREEN to confirm, load toggles once, LED returns to solid RED.

Daylight Savings Time (DST)

1 tap = Enable DST (USA) · 2 taps = Enable DST (Mexico) · 3 taps = Disable DST

• USA DST: +1 hour at 2AM on the 2nd Sunday in March; -1 hour at 2AM on the 1st Sunday in November.
• Mexican DST: +1 hour at 2AM on the 2nd Sunday in April; -1 hour at 2AM on the 1st Sunday in October.

Longitude (East/West)

Latitude (North/South)

After setting longitude and latitude, sunrise/sunset times will be accurate within 10 minutes.

Clock Review Mode

The SST clock is preset at the factory. Time and schedule settings persist for 10 years even if disconnected from power. Once a schedule is selected, it runs daily and the clock auto-adjusts to local time per the selected time zone.

1. Tap the Link button 8 times quickly.
2. The LED turns off, then flashes GREEN to confirm current clock settings in sequence: Hour, Minute, Month, Day (with a pause between each). LED flashes once for "1", twice for "2", etc. (10 flashes = "0".)
   • Hour (00-23): two flash groups — 10's of hours (0-2), 1's of hours (0-9)
   • Minute (00-59): two flash groups — 10's of minutes (0-5), 1's of minutes (0-9)
   • Day of Week (1-7): 1=Sunday, 2=Monday, etc.
   • Month (01-12): two flash groups — 10's of month (0-1), 1's of month (0-9)
   • Day (00-31): two flash groups — 10's of days (0-3), 1's of days (0-9)
   • Year (00-99): two flash groups — 10's of year, 1's of year
3. The LED returns to solid RED and the load toggles once, indicating the review is complete.

Linking Mode

Any SimpleWorx transmitter can remotely control one or more SimpleWorx receivers. To link:

1. At the transmitter: press and hold its Link button for 6 seconds — LED flashes GREEN and flashes its load (if connected).
2. At the receiver: press and hold the rocker switch or link button for 6 seconds — LED flashes GREEN and flashes its load.
3. Within 30 seconds, the receiver indicates the link is complete when its LED stops flashing and flashes its load once.
4. Take the transmitter out of Link mode by tapping its rocker switch or link button once — the LED stops flashing.

Note: The transmitter automatically times out of Link mode after 5 minutes.

Factory Reset

1. Press and hold the Link button for 6 seconds — LED flashes GREEN and flashes the load.
2. Tap the Link button 10 times quickly.
3. The LED blinks RED 10 times, the load toggles once, then returns to solid RED — reset complete.

Note: This erases all transmitters the SST was linked to.
