PCS PulseWorx RM-0-10V — Relay Dimming Control Module Install Guide

Install guide for the PCS PulseWorx RM-0-10V, a small control module installed in lighting fixtures to enable dimming/control via controllers that implement Relay Dimming (such as the WS1C wall switch or KPLC keypad).

Overview

The RM-0-10V is designed to be installed inside lighting fixtures to enable control of the fixture by controllers that implement Relay Dimming. The controller communicates with the RM-0-10V using a pattern of relay open/close events to change the lighting level to a preselected level, or to increase/decrease the current light level.

Wiring

The RM-0-10V wires between the LINE/NEUTRAL power connections and the 0-10V LED driver:

• 0-10VDC + — Purple wire, to the LED driver's 0-10V control line
• 0-10VDC - — Gray wire, to the LED driver's 0-10V control line
• Line / Neutral — Standard AC power connections into the module and LED driver

Installation Notes

• The RM-0-10V does not contain an address or other identifying information the transmitter must know — any unit can be installed in any fixture without pre- or post-installation programming.
• If the transmitter powers more than one LED fixture, install a separate RM-0-10V in each fixture.
• Note: You may hear the controller relays clicking on/off rapidly — this is the expected communication signal to the RM-0-10V.
• To test the installation, use a WS1C wall switch or KPLC keypad to verify correct operation — the fixture should dim/brighten using the WS1C paddle or KPLC keypad buttons.
