Specification sheet for the PCS PCT24T4 Title 24 Wall-box Timer — the only wall-box timer that meets ALL California Title 24 lighting control requirements for both Type C (Multi-Level Astronomical Time Switch Control) and Type D (Outdoor Astronomical Time-Switch Controls).
Overview
On July 1, 2014, the new California Title 24 lighting energy code went into effect. As of June 18, 2014, the threshold was met for lighting controls, with ATT (Automatic Time-based Time-switch) certification requirements effective July 1, 2014, per the California Energy Commission.
The PCT24T4 is patent-pending (Application #62293723) and is marketed as the only Title 24 wall-box timer meeting all requirements of both:
- Title 24 Type C — Multi-Level Astronomical Time Switch Control
- Title 24 Type D — Outdoor Astronomical Time-Switch Controls
Title 24 Requirements Met
- Manual control with 2-hour override
- Occupancy sensor input
- Offset ON and OFF for each channel, at least 99 minutes +/- sunrise or sunset
- Automatic daylight savings time adjustment
- Astronomical time-switch control
- Sunrise/sunset accuracy within 15 miles
- Timekeeping accuracy of 2.62 min/year
- 7-day Weekly Mode or Calendar Mode with holidays

Typical Wiring & Software
The PCT24T4 wires like any other timer — all Title 24 add-ons (0-10V receiver, override switch, occupancy sensor) are optional and field-addable. The diagram below shows the circuit breaker panel connecting to the timer's L/N/CH1-CH4 terminal block, feeding an LED fixture (with optional driver/receiver), plus optional Hi/Med/Low 0-10V receiver, override switch, and occupancy sensor inputs, along with the PC/USB programming connection. Free timer configuration software is available for download from the PCS website — it provides Schedule Mode, Channel Control (Off/Low/Medium/High), and multi-timer management.
