Quick reference installation and calibration guide for the Optex OVS-01CC vehicle presence sensor with car counting.
The Optex OVS-01CC is a 26-foot range microwave vehicle presence sensor with car counting capability, used to detect vehicles at gates, driveways, and traffic lanes. This quick reference guide covers pole placement, wiring, and calibration for a typical installation.
| Spec | Value |
|---|---|
| Output 1 | Non-voltage relay, N.O./N.C. switchable, 30VDC 0.3A or less (resistance load) |
| Output 2 | Non-voltage relay, N.O./N.C. switchable, 30VDC 0.3A or less (resistance load) |
| Power Supply | 12-24VDC |
It's recommended to set the range 1m (3.28ft) shorter than the actual width of the road, using the Maximum Range buttons (1-8) and the Output1/Output2 N.O./N.C. selector switches.
Perform calibration to memorize the background of the detection area. Ensure no pedestrians or vehicles are present during calibration:
Status indicator states: Standby → Area Check → Detection → Calibration → Calibration Area Check.
Check the entire coverage area using an actual vehicle, testing the left side of the lane, the center of the lane, and the right side of the lane.
