    Installation guide for OEM's 15° angled LCRS in-ceiling loudspeakers (K-6LCRS, K-8LCRS, A-6LCRS, A-8LCRS, PV-6LCRS, PV-8LCRS) designed for home theater applications.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Installation guide for OEM Systems' 15° Angled LCRS in-ceiling loudspeakers (K-6LCRS, K-8LCRS, A-6LCRS, A-8LCRS, PV-6LCRS, PV-8LCRS). The built-in 15° angle aims sound toward the listening area, making these well suited for home theater front and surround channels mounted directly overhead.

    Installation Steps

    1. Check the ceiling area for concealed obstructions such as wiring, plumbing, or heating ducts.
    2. Use a stud finder to locate joists or rafters. Ensure your intended speaker locations are unobstructed and that holes will be at least 2 inches away from joists or rafters.
    3. Use the supplied compass or cut-out template/paint mask to draw a circle matching your speaker model's diameter (see chart below), then carefully cut the hole.
    4. Remove the grille from the speaker assembly using the included grille remover.
    5. Before installation, rotate the "Angle Lug Installation Clamps" (Item A) so they clear the cut-out hole.
    6. Prior to inserting the speaker assembly, attach the speaker wires — observe polarity ("+" and "-"). Speakers wired out of phase will exhibit an apparent loss of bass response. Wires are held by "Spring Clip Terminals" (Item B); strip wire ends about 0.25" (tinning is recommended but not required).
    7. Insert the speaker assembly into the hole and orient it so it's angled toward the listening area. A clear plastic template is included to precisely align the direction — it must be removed before the speaker is operated.
    8. Begin tightening the installation screws. As each screw turns, the "Angle Lug Clamps" rotate outward to engage the ceiling material (Item C). Caution: do not overtighten — excess torque may snap off the lug and prevent a secure seat.
    9. If painting the speaker assembly (before or after installation), use the paint masking template (cardboard disc) to cover the driver(s) and prevent damage. Do not paint the grille and frame assembly together — paint the grille separately, using thin coats to avoid clogging the perforations.
    10. Your speaker includes a pivoting tweeter that can be aimed for improved imaging — direct the tweeter output toward the typical listening position. Use care to avoid damaging the tweeter dome while aiming.
