    Installation instructions for the Nuvo Outdoor Speaker line (NV-2OD5, NV-2OD6, NV-6OD5, NV-6OD6, and dual-voice-coil DVC variants, in Black or White) — 5-1/4" and 6-1/2" IP65-rated outdoor speakers by Legrand.

    Overview

    Available in 5 1/4 in. and 6 1/2 in. sizes, Nuvo Outdoor Speakers offer a sleek, modern, minimal-profile enclosure that blends with any home's exterior lines. They're IP65-rated for outdoor use and meet MIL-STD-810 for UV, salt spray, and temperature extremes, delivering crystal-clear, powerful audio outdoors.

    Installation Steps

    Perform steps 1–5 at each speaker location.

    1. Run speaker wire: Run two-conductor stranded speaker wire from the amplifier to the speaker location (16-gauge recommended). If using a dual-voice-coil (DVC) speaker, run four-conductor stranded wire instead.
    2. Mount the bracket: Pull the speaker wires through the center hole of the included speaker bracket. Attach the bracket to the mounting surface with appropriate hardware (not included) — it can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or angled in a corner.
    3. Terminate the wiring: Feed the wire conductors through the weatherproof Phoenix connector cover. Strip 3/8" of the speaker wire jacket and terminate the positive (+) and negative (–) conductors into the removable Phoenix connector at the rear of the speaker.
      • Pair of speakers: use any adjacent set of positive/negative terminals per speaker. To daisy-chain beyond a single pair, use the adjacent terminals — but be aware this will affect impedance; confirm your amplifier's impedance rating before daisy-chaining two pairs to one zone.
      • Dual-voice-coil stereo speakers: use all four terminals (Left +/– and Right +/–) to generate stereo sound from a single enclosure.
    4. Attach the speaker to the mounted bracket.
    5. Finish the connection: Slide the included covers over the speaker bracket connection to protect it and give a clean, finished look.
