Quick start guide for initial setup of the Nuvo Wireless Control Pad (NV-WCP) and Coordinator.
Quick start guide for initial setup of the Nuvo Wireless Control Pad (NV-WCP) and its Coordinator, used to add wireless zone control to a NuVo multi-room audio system.
Using the Configurator software, assign each Wireless Control Pad a zone that is not shared with a speaker zone (e.g. Zones 17–20, or Zone 9 and above in an 8-zone system). Check "Using NV-WCP Wireless Control Pad" on the System Settings tab, then download the configuration to your system.
Note: The WCP requires E6G/I8G Configurator version 2.52 or higher.
For best performance, mount the Coordinator vertically on a wall, away from metal surfaces that could interfere with its communication. It's typically placed alongside the NuVo System and source equipment, though a central home location may perform better in some cases. The CAT5 connection to the NuVo System's EZ Port or Allport can be extended up to 150 feet.
Connect the battery to power on the WCP. The initial display asks to "Enable" or "Disable" the Zone button:
If this prompt doesn't appear, restore factory defaults on the WCP first.
At this point, the Wireless Control Pad is fully functional and able to control any zone in the NuVo System.
