Activation guide for the NAPCO StarLink SLe-GSM cellular alarm communicator, covering dealer account setup and primary reporting wiring.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Activation guide for the NAPCO StarLink SLe-GSM Communicator — a cellular alarm communicator that transmits control panel alarm reports over the GSM/cellular network. This guide covers dealer account setup, radio activation, and primary wiring for basic alarm communication.

Before Installation: Activate the Radio and Select a Service Plan

    • If your company is not yet registered as a NAPCO StarLink Dealer, go to www.NapcoComNet.com to register and create a Dealer account. Dealer accounts are approved Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM; allow 1 business day for approval.
    • If your company is already registered, log in at www.NapcoComNet.com to activate the radio and select a service plan.
    • Only after the radio has been activated and a service plan selected is it ready to be installed.

    Basic Alarm Communication (Primary Reporting)

If the installation only requires basic alarm communication (transmitting control panel alarm reports to a central station), no further configuration is required beyond activation — the radio automatically captures and transmits all alarm events to the intended central station receiver.

    1. Connect the radio to the control panel's Telco tip and ring terminals (unpolarized).
    2. Provide power to the radio via the control panel's Aux Power terminals (65mA @ 12VDC Aux Power required).
    3. See document WI1936 for the backup reporting wiring configuration if needed.

GSM Downloading to NAPCO Gemini Panels

If GSM downloading to a NAPCO Gemini series control panel is required, purchase the SLE-DLCBL Download Cable (6 ft.) to connect the SLe-GSM's download serial port to the control panel's serial port.

    Advanced Programming

For advanced programming — including double reporting, backup reporting, redirecting reports to a new central station, and configuring radio inputs/outputs — go to www.NapcoNOC.com. Log in using the same credentials created for the NapcoComNet account.
