Installation and Quick Start Sheet for the Leviton Lumina RF 0-10V Dimming Wall Switch, Cat. No. ZSD07-ADZ — 2.4GHz wireless dimming for 0-10V LED/fluorescent loads.
Installation and Quick Start Sheet for the Leviton Lumina™ RF 0-10V Dimming Wall Switch, Cat. No. ZSD07-ADZ — a 2.4GHz wireless dimming switch for 0-10V LED/fluorescent ballasts, with a robust mechanical latching relay and multi-location control via a Lumina gateway.
Lumina RF components communicate with each other via 2.4GHz radio frequency to provide remote lighting control. Line-powered devices act as routers, re-transmitting the RF signal from one device to another until the intended device is reached — routing the signal around obstacles and radio dead spots. A Lumina gateway is required for programming and control communication between devices.
Supplied with white, ivory, and light almond switch plates (additional colors available from your Leviton distributor). Before wiring/installation: push in at the two tabs on the side to release the plate, then line up and press the new plate's side in to attach.
The switch wires directly to the load and uses a mechanical latching relay for power switching from the Decora® rocker. It uses 0-10V (Violet and Gray) wires to connect to the fixture for dimming. When multiple switches control the same load, wire each switch identically per below — multi-location control is completed through programming via the Lumina gateway (required for all installations).
The 0-10V control lines connect through a sleeve/connector arrangement to the 0-10V ballast/LED driver's Violet and Gray leads.
This switch can be installed as Class 1 or Class 2. If installed as Class 2 (per NEC Code NFPA 70, paragraph 725.136(d)), all devices in the circuit must be Class 2 rated, and the 0-10V control wires must be mechanically separated from Class 1 line/neutral/ground power lines by one of the following methods:
Silicone tubing must be NRTL (UL/CSA/ETL) recognized or equivalent, providing mechanical separation equal to .25" in air. Connectors joining 0-10V control wires must be approved, listed connectors. Wire connectors and tubing are supplied by the installation contractor.
The rocker controls the load directly (paddle for on/off, rocker for dimming).
The locator LED is normally lit green when the load is OFF, and off when the load is ON. A separate dimming indicator on the left side shows the current dimming level via a single bright LED, with the remaining LEDs lit dimmer to show the overall range — the bright LED moves up/down as you press the Dim/Bright rocker.
Configure the switch using a Lumina gateway — visit cloud.leviton.com for gateway installation software. The device must be in Mode 1 (Enrollment) while the gateway is searching for new devices.
| Mode / Blinks | Operation |
|---|---|
| 1 | Enrollment — allows the device to enroll in a network, or be removed. |
| 2 | Identify — the device enters identify mode. |
| 3 | RF Pairing — searches for compatible devices already in Identify Mode. |
| 4 | LED Operation — enable/disable locator LED. |
| 5 | Reset — resets the device to factory default settings. |
To enter the configuration menu at any point: press and hold the bottom (OFF) rocker for >10 seconds until the LED switches to amber blinking (Mode 1). From there, tap the bottom rocker to cycle through modes 1-5 (each tap advances one mode/one additional blink), then press and hold the bottom rocker for >5 seconds to execute that mode's action. Tap the top (ON) rocker to exit at any point. The menu times out after 20 seconds of no button presses.
To add: in Mode 1, review the Lumina gateway instructions and power it up first; then press and hold the bottom rocker >5 seconds to enroll (green blinking until complete or timeout). To remove: in Mode 1, press and hold the top rocker >5 seconds to leave the network (red blinking until complete).
Press and hold the bottom rocker >5 seconds to enter a 60-second RF Identify Devices window (green blinking until timeout or button press).
Press and hold the bottom rocker >5 seconds to search for compatible devices currently in Identify Mode (amber on entry, then 3 seconds solid green for success or solid red for failure). Press and hold the top rocker >5 seconds to clear the paired device list. Note: pairing happens quickly once it finds a device in Identify mode; both devices need to be enrolled in the network first, and both need Pairing + Identify performed for full 3-way control. Maximum of 8 paired devices.
Press and hold the bottom rocker >5 seconds to toggle the locator LED mode — green confirmation blink means the LED will operate normally; red confirmation blink means the locator LED will be disabled and stay off.
Press and hold the bottom rocker >5 seconds to enter Factory Default pending mode (red blinking until the top rocker is pressed to initiate). Then press and hold the top rocker >5 seconds to complete the reset (stops red blinking, returns to normal operation).
