This optional module turns the DMC intercom into a digital music hub, letting you share portable audio, podcasts, and audiobooks throughout the home.

Overview

The DMC1 iPlay Dock connects to portable digital music sources — Apple iPod, iPhone, MP3 players, smart phones, and CD/MP3 discs — and integrates directly into the DMC1 or DMC3-4 master unit. A five-button interface provides source select (iPod or CD) plus CD transport controls (play/pause, fast-forward, rewind, track forward/reverse), with mode and status shown on the DMC1/DMC3-4 master unit display.

System Integration

The iPlay Dock is one accessory module in the larger DMC1/DMC3-4 Music/Communication System, which also supports room stations, patio stations, door stations, chime modules, satellite volume controls, and an external stereo audio input wall plate. Housing requirements vary by configuration — the DMC1MM version requires the DMC1F frame and DMC1HC housing.
