Linear DXT-61A — Pendant Transmitter Operation Instructions

Operation instructions for the Linear DXT-61A battery-powered pendant transmitter, designed for use with Linear's DX Format wireless receivers.

Product Description

The DXT-61A is a battery-powered, portable, miniature pendant transmitter designed for use with Linear's DX Format receivers. It can be used in a limitless number of wireless remote control applications. Pressing the button sends a digitally coded wireless signal to its companion receiver.

• The digital DX code format features over a million possible codes.
• Each transmitter is precoded at the factory to a unique code — no field coding required.
• The transmitter can send a signal for up to 10 seconds with each button activation.
• The transmitter code can be programmed into any receiver channel (receivers "learn" the preset factory code from the transmitter — see the receiver's instructions for programming details).
• Powered by a 12-Volt Type GP-23 battery, expected battery life ~1 year.
• The red test/operate indicator lights during operation. If the transmitter stops functioning, or its range decreases, replace the battery.
• Includes a detachable 30" neck chain. The transmitter button has a positive "click" feel.

Operation

The DXT-61A is a one-button, one-code transmitter. Press the button for a minimum of two seconds to ensure receiver activation. The red indicator lights during operation.

Battery Replacement

1. Twist the chain loops to remove the battery cover.
2. Important: When changing the battery, insert the negative (-) end first, and push the positive (+) end into the transmitter last.

Important Limitations

• For U.S. installations only: these radios comply with FCC Rules and Regulations as Part 15 devices, and therefore have limited transmitter power and limited range.
• A receiver cannot respond to more than one transmitted signal at a time and may be blocked by radio signals occurring on or near its operating frequency, regardless of code settings.
• Changes or modifications to the device may void FCC compliance.
• Infrequently used radio links should be tested regularly to protect against undetected interference or fault.

Limited Warranty

This Linear product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for twelve (12) months from the Warranty Expiration Date labeled on the product. This warranty extends only to wholesale customers who buy direct from Linear or through Linear's normal distribution channels; Linear does not warrant this product to consumers directly. All implied warranties (merchantability, fitness) are valid only until the Warranty Expiration Date.
