Overview

Installation instructions for Leviton's Outdoor Box Speakers with Brackets (Cat. No. SGO99), 120 Watts total / 60 Watts RMS. The package includes two outdoor box speakers with mounting brackets.

⚠ Warning

Confirm the impedance of your amplifier before installing these speakers. These speakers require an 8 ohm (nominal) output, 6 ohm minimum.

Installation Steps

1. Turn OFF all equipment before making any connections — failing to do so may damage the system. Run speaker wire to your music source (receiver/amplifier) and connect: Red = Positive, Black = Negative.
2. Before permanently mounting, temporarily connect each speaker to your receiver and experiment with placement to find the best music coverage. For best protection of the equipment, Leviton recommends installing the speakers under the eave of the house.
3. Run speaker cable to the receiver by the shortest practical route, keeping wire lengths to each speaker as close to equal as possible. Recommended cable: 16/2, Class 3 speaker wire (available at hardware/home centers).
4. Installation complete — enjoy your outdoor sound system.

Limited 2-Year Warranty

Leviton warrants to the original consumer purchaser that this product is free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal, proper use for two years from the purchase date. Leviton's only obligation is to repair or replace the product (at its option) if it's returned prepaid within the warranty period, with proof of purchase and a description of the problem, to:

This warranty excludes labor for removal/reinstallation, and is void if the product is installed improperly, in an improper environment, overloaded, misused, opened, abused, or altered, or not used under normal operating conditions per the included labels/instructions. There are no other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, beyond the two-year term (where implied warranties cannot be disclaimed under applicable law).
