Instructions for use for the Leviton 41106-R*6 / 41108-R*8 QuickPort USOC Snap-In Connector — a telephone/voice jack connector featuring a wiring configuration label for quick and easy installation.

    Description

Leviton's QuickPort USOC Snap-In Connectors feature a wiring configuration label directly on the jack for quick and easy wiring.

    Installation

    1. Remove the jacket from the cable.
    2. Check the jack termination label (located on the sides of the jack) for the wiring standard and associated color codes. The label also includes the jack pin numbers.
    3. Route the wires for termination as shown in the jack's included wiring diagrams.
    4. Using a 110-style punchdown tool, seat the wires into the IDC slots. With the cutting edge of the tool facing outward, trim the excess wire flush with the jack body.
    5. Place the cap over the termination wires for a secure connection and added strain relief.
    6. Insert the jack assembly into the platform or wallplate, noting the "UP" position of the jack.

Note: The brown pair of the UTP cable is not used for this connector.
