    • Status LED illuminates when lights are OFF (to find the device in the dark) and provides connectivity/device status feedback; advanced settings available in the app.
    • Air gap switch stops power to the fan — gently pull the bottom out until a click is heard; push back in after servicing for normal operation.
    • Quiet 4-speed control: max, high, medium, low, off.
    • Control via app, schedule, voice (Hey Google, Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri), or Apple Home app.
    • Supports 3-way/multi-location with wired Companions and Wireless Anywhere Companion devices.
    • Color change kits available in ivory, light almond, black, gray, brown, and white.

    Installation

    1. Before you install: To control from more than one location (3-way/multi-way), you'll need a wired DD00R/DD0SR Companion or a wireless DAWDC/DAWSC Anywhere Companion device.
    2. Identify your wires: Warning — turn off power at the circuit breaker. Remove wallplate and disconnect existing switch; restore power and test wires with a voltage tester to find the Line (Hot) wire; then turn off power at the breaker again. Mark the wires — a Neutral connection is required to operate this device (typically white, bundled inside the box).
    3. Wire your Fan Speed Controller (single pole): Work one connection at a time; connect wires as shown using included wire connectors. Neutral connection is required. The YELLOW/RED Traveler wire is only used in hard-wired 3-way applications — cap it with a wire connector even if unused. If your wall box has a different configuration, contact Leviton Technical Support or an electrician.
    4. Test and install: Restore power — Status LED should flash GREEN. Turn power off again at the breaker before screwing in the controller. Push wires into the wall box, screw the controller to the box, snap on the Decora wallplate, and restore power. Status LED blinks GREEN, indicating setup mode.
    5. Get the app: Visit my.leviton.com or scan the QR code for your device.
    6. Device setup: Decora Smart Wi-Fi 2nd Gen devices can connect to My Leviton, Apple HomeKit, or both. Voice control via Amazon Alexa/Google Assistant requires My Leviton setup; Siri requires Apple HomeKit setup. Launch the app, log in or sign up, tap "+" then "Add Device," and follow the app instructions.
    7. Test My Leviton app control: Open the app and tap the icon to turn ON/OFF. The app includes scheduling, remote control, vacation mode, auto-shutoff, room scenes, and advanced options (pre-set speed, return to last speed, min/max speed, speed level LED options).

Connect to My Leviton Partners / Apple HomeKit (Optional)

Tap the menu icon > Integrations, locate the desired service, select it, and follow instructions. For Apple HomeKit, ensure the device is in setup mode (LED blinking GREEN), open the Apple Home app, select "Add Accessory," confirm the model is D24SF, and scan the HomeKit setup code on the device or on the Getting Started Guide.

    Status LED Reference

    What to Do If...

    • Fan turns on but doesn't run as fast as it should: Use the Fan Speed Bar to select MAX (100%). If the fan has a pull chain or similar control, set it to 100% and use only the controller to set speed.
    • Intermittent operation: Confirm load does not exceed ratings; confirm the Neutral wire is connected.
    • Not connected to Wi-Fi: In the My Leviton app, select the device > Device Settings > Reconfigure Wireless, and follow the prompts.
    • Cleaning: Use a damp cloth with mild soap — do NOT use disinfecting products, foggers, sprays, or other atomized cleaning agents.

    Safety First

    • To avoid fire, shock, or death, turn off power at the circuit breaker/fuse and test that power is off before wiring.
    • To avoid fire, personal injury, or property damage, do NOT install to control a receptacle or transformer-operated appliance.
    • For use only on ceiling paddle fans with split-capacitor or shaded-pole motors — other motor types may cause overheating/damage. Use only one Fan Speed Control per load.
    • Not compatible with standard 3-way/4-way switches — requires wired DD00R/DD0SR Companions or wireless DAWDC/DAWSC Anywhere Companions for multi-location control.
    • Maximum wire length to all wired companion devices: 300 ft (90m).
    • Recommended minimum wall box depth: 2-3/4 in. Use with copper or copper-clad wire only.

Additional ratings: Purpose of control — Operating Control; Action Control Type 1; Pollution Degree 2; Impulse Voltage 2500V; Disconnection Type Micro.
