Getting Started Guide for the Leviton Decora Smart Wi-Fi 2nd Gen Scene Controller Switch (Cat. No. D2SCS).

    Full text manual (for reference)

Getting Started Guide for the Leviton Decora Smart Wi-Fi 2nd Gen Scene Controller Switch (Cat. No. D2SCS) — an in-wall switch with three configurable scene buttons plus a built-in ON/OFF load switch, for whole-home Wi-Fi lighting control.

    Overview

Replaces an existing switch to provide in-wall control of multiple Decora Smart Wi-Fi devices. Assign custom room scenes or activities (e.g. "Movie Time" or "All Off") to the three scene buttons, or use with IFTTT for expanded automation. Works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple Siri, and the My Leviton app for remote control, even away from home. With an Apple Home Hub, it can also control HomeKit scenes and accessories.

    Features

    • Bottom button provides ON/OFF control; works with Alexa, Hey Google, and HomeKit/Apple Siri
    • My Leviton app lets you configure the three Scene buttons to: turn multiple Decora Smart Wi-Fi devices on/off, toggle an individual device, enable a room lighting scene, run a whole-house activity, switch Home/Away mode, or trigger an IFTTT applet
    • Works with HomeKit via the Apple Home app (requires Apple Home Hub + compatible iOS device)
    • Supports 3-way/multi-location control with a Wireless DAWSC Anywhere Companion or Wired DD0SR Companion — up to 9 DD0SR-01Z or 4 DD0SR-DLZ companions per switch
    • Compatible with DS4KT color change kits (Ivory, Light Almond, Grey, Black, Brown)

    Installation Steps

    1. Before You Install

Requires basic electrical knowledge — consult an electrician if unsure. To control from more than one location (3-way/multi-way), you need either a wired DD0SR Companion device or wireless DAWSC Anywhere Companion device.

    2. Identify Your Wires

    1. Warning: Turn OFF power at the circuit breaker before starting.
    2. Remove the wallplate and disconnect the existing switch
    3. Restore power briefly and carefully test wires with a voltage tester to find the Line (Hot) wire
    4. Turn OFF power again at the circuit breaker
    5. Mark the wires — a Neutral wire (typically white, bundled in the box) is required for this device

    3. Wire Your Switch (Single Pole)

    1. Work on only one connection at a time
    2. Connect wires using the included wire connectors: LINE, LOAD, NEUTRAL, GROUND
    3. Neutral connection is required
    4. The YELLOW/RED Traveler wire is only used in hard-wired 3-way applications — cap it with a wire connector even if unused

If your wall box has a different wiring configuration, contact Leviton Technical Support or consult an electrician.

    4. Test and Install

    1. Restore power — Status LED should flash GREEN, indicating the switch is receiving power and ready to be enrolled
    2. Press the bottom button to turn the switch ON and confirm load control
    3. Turn OFF power again before screwing the switch into the wall box
    4. Push wires gently into the wall box; screw the switch into the box
    5. Snap on the Decora wallplate and restore power. Status LED should blink GREEN, indicating Setup mode.

    5-9. App Setup

    • Get the App: Visit my.leviton.com or scan the QR code in the guide
    • Device Setup: Log in/create an account, tap + → Add Device, follow the prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi
    • Configure Scene Buttons: Follow the My Leviton app prompts; edit anytime via Reconfigure Buttons in the device list
    • Connect to Partners (optional): Tap Menu → Integrations → select service (e.g. Hey Google) and follow the app instructions
    • Safety: Turn OFF power before wiring; do not use to control a receptacle; indoor use only

Add Device to Apple HomeKit (Optional)

    1. Ensure the switch is in Setup mode (Status LED blinking GREEN)
    2. On an iOS device, open Apple Home app → Add Accessory
    3. Scan the HomeKit setup code on the switch or in the printed guide
    4. Follow the Apple Home app instructions to finish adding the switch
    5. Once complete, you can voice-control the switch via Apple Siri

    Status LED Reference

    Color Activity Status
Green Flashing In Setup mode, ready to be added to a Wi-Fi network
Green Slow Blink Connecting to Wi-Fi network on power up
Green or OFF Solid Normal operation, configurable in setup
Amber Slow Blink Not connected to Wi-Fi, attempting to reconnect
Green/Amber Alternating In wireless Anywhere Companion Pairing mode
Red Blink Anywhere Companion devices unpaired or at max paired devices
Green/Red/Amber Alternating Identify feature triggered from My Leviton app

    Diagnostic LED (Bottom Button)

Press the bottom button for 2-7 seconds and release; the Status LED blinks a diagnostic code for 2 seconds:

    • Amber — Not connected to Wi-Fi
    • Red — Connected to Wi-Fi, but not able to connect to My Leviton cloud
    • Green/Amber alternating — Connected to Wi-Fi and cloud, but unable to set time from internet
    • Green — Connected to Wi-Fi and cloud, working properly

    Factory Default Reset

    1. Hold the bottom button for 14 seconds — after 7 seconds the LED turns AMBER (continue holding)
    2. After 7 more seconds, the Status LED quickly flashes RED/AMBER — release the button and the device resets

    Troubleshooting

    • Light doesn't respond to the bottom button: Confirm power is restored at the breaker; verify wiring connections; needs Line, Neutral, Load, and Ground connected
    • Lights flickering: Test the bulb with a voltage tester to confirm both Line and Neutral are connected to the light
    • Amber LED on Scene button press, nothing happens: Command wasn't sent — switch may not be connected to My Leviton app; check Wi-Fi/internet, or (for HomeKit) confirm an Apple Home Hub is present and the switch is connected to Wi-Fi
    • Not connected to Wi-Fi: In the My Leviton app, select the device → Device Settings → Reconfigure Wireless, and follow the prompts
    • Cleaning: Use a damp cloth with mild soap — do NOT use disinfecting sprays, foggers, or other atomized cleaning agents

    Compliance & Warranty

Complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and Industry Canada RSS standards. Limited 2-Year Warranty (see leviton.com for details). RF exposure: install/operate with a minimum 7.9 in. (20cm) distance between the radiator and the body; must not be co-located with other antennas/transmitters.
