Installation instructions for Leviton QuickPort Surface Mount Housings (models 41089-xxx, 42036-IDA, 42038-IDB, 42046-IDA, 42048-IDB) — field-configurable surface-mount housings for QuickPort snap-in connectors and adapters.

    Overview

Leviton's QuickPort Surface Mount Housings are field-configurable for most QuickPort snap-in connectors and adapters. The housing features port identification windows, and it can accept an optional security screw (not included) to prevent removal of the cover.

    Installation

    1. Note the port side and cable-entry side of the base. Use double-back tape, self-adhesive hook-and-loop strips, or the supplied 1" screws to mount the base to the wall.
    2. Terminate wire onto the QuickPort snap-in adapter or connector per that product's instructions.
    3. Insert the connector into the housing at a steep angle, rotate, and push the connector into the base.
    4. Swing the back part of the jack down and forward until it fully locks behind the retention ledge on the base.

    Removing the Jack

Place a small flat screwdriver in the retention ledge slot on the base and pry upward to release.
