Product overview and installation reference for the On-Q/Legrand RFLC Event Controller (LC6001) — a networked event/scene controller for the RFLC (RF Lighting Controls) wireless lighting control line.

    Overview

The LC6001 Event Controller provides the ability to turn lights on automatically or set up lighting scenes for entertaining — for example, having the front porch lights turn on at dusk, or activating a holiday lighting collection. It's compatible with any Legrand TopDog-based RF Lighting Control device.

    Key Features

    • Mobile/Web interface for controlling lights remotely from a smartphone or web-enabled device (supports iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Android, Blackberry Torch, Macs, PCs, and other WebKit-enabled browsers)
    • Trigger lighting scenes based on specific date & time, or sunrise/sunset
    • Frequency-agile Radio Frequency (RF) wireless communications — Hybrid Spread Spectrum technology
    • Discovers and locates up to 100 RFLC Zones
    • Program and custom-name 20 events, with up to two scenes implemented per event
    • Control initiated through any Ethernet or WiFi-connected device
    • Self-discovers automatically upon network connection
    • Custom naming for all loads included in the RF Lighting Control system

    Installation At-a-Glance

    1. Connect a Cat 5 cable from the RJ45 jack on the rear panel to a router port.
    2. Connect the AC-DC adapter to the micro-USB jack on the rear panel.
    3. Connect to an active LAN with DHCP enabled for the unit to power up. The display will show "Legrand RFLC Acquiring IP Address." Date and time should display properly once connected and active.
    4. Once the IP address is acquired, the LED changes to amber, indicating all configured RFLC devices within 100' range are in "Learn Mode," then changes to blinking green — this indicates the Event Controller is now house-bound to the existing RFLC lighting subsystem.
    5. Toggle the Mode push button to transition through the different display modes.
    6. Press and hold the Mode button for 2-3 seconds to perform an RF Scan, which locates all devices the Event Controller can control. The system is now ready for configuration via Web setup.
