Legrand On-Q AU7100 — Digital Audio Bluetooth Receiver Manual

Installation and pairing instructions for the Legrand On-Q AU7100 Digital Audio Bluetooth Receiver (models AU7100-WH, AU7100-LA, AU7100-NI), a plug-in Bluetooth module designed to fit into an AU7007-xx Global Source Input or AU7008-xx Local Source Input.

Overview

The AU7100 lets you stream audio from a Bluetooth-enabled phone or device into the On-Q AU7000-series whole-home audio system. It stores up to six paired devices in memory, and each unit has a unique coded SSID (numbered 000–999) so multiple AU7100 units in the same installation can be told apart.

Installation & Pairing Steps

1. Remove the accessory door of an AU7007-xx Global Source Input or AU7008-xx Local Source Input, exposing the accessory bay, and plug in the AU7100 Bluetooth Receiver.
2. Plug in the AU7100 and press and hold the Bluetooth (Pairing) Button for 0.5 seconds to turn it on (the same press turns it off). On first power-up, the Status LED flashes blue for 1 second, then alternates blinking blue and red every 2 seconds to indicate pairing mode.
3. On the device you want to pair, open Bluetooth settings and search for an SSID between "Legrand000" and "Legrand999." Select the SSID being displayed. On successful pairing, the Status Indicator stops flashing and turns solid blue. To pair an additional device, turn off Bluetooth on all previously paired devices first — this forces the receiver back into pairing mode.
4. If a connected device goes out of range (beyond 30 ft.), the status indicator returns to pairing mode (flashing red/blue). Reconnection when back in range is not automatic — you must manually reselect the AU7100 from the paired devices list on the transmitting device. The AU7100 stores up to six (6) paired devices in memory.
5. To factory reset the unit, hold the Pairing Button for ten (10) seconds. The Status Indicator turns purple once the reset completes.

Troubleshooting

• Won't pair: Confirm the receiver is flashing blue/red (pairing mode). If it isn't, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 0.5 seconds to power-cycle it into pairing mode.
• Previously paired device won't reconnect after leaving range: Reconnection is not automatic — manually reselect the AU7100 from the paired-devices list on your phone/device.
• Need to start over: Hold the Pairing Button for 10 seconds for a factory reset (Status Indicator turns purple when done).
