Complete installation instructions for the Legrand On-Q AU7001 Digital Audio Input Module.

    Overview

The Digital Audio Input Module (AU7001) provides access to streaming music services and music files stored on computers/storage devices connected to the home network. Up to four AU7001 units can be used in a single Digital Audio system. The AU7001 is powered by the AU7000 Digital Audio Distribution Module, set up via the Legrand Digital Audio app (iOS/Android), and controlled through that app or via Digital Audio Amplified Keypads.

    Physical Installation

    1. Install the AU7001 in the On-Q Enclosure.
    2. Connect a Cat5 jumper from the "DIST MODULE SOURCEs (1–4)" jack to one of the Source inputs on the AU7000 Digital Audio Distribution Module. If making custom jumpers, terminate Cat5 wires per TIA/EIA 568A.
    3. Connect Ethernet from the home network to the LAN jack.
    4. Verify all cables are connected to their correct locations, and that keypads and sources throughout the home are properly terminated and connected.
    5. Connect a 12VDC power supply (such as the PW7760) to the AU7000 and apply power.

This device is verified to comply with Part 15 Class B of the FCC Rules.

    Configuration / Binding

    1. Download the Legrand Digital Audio app from the iTunes or Google Play store. Connect your smart device to the same network as the AU7000, start the app, and follow the on-screen setup instructions. Check all connections and power up the Digital Audio System.
    2. Once the system powers up and the app connects, an unconfigured AU7001 appears as an "Un-configured Source Device." Select Settings, then "Bind Digital Source."
    3. Press the bind button on the AU7001. The AU7000 will search for and find the AU7001, binding it to the system. Select "Done" to continue.
    4. You'll return to the Sources screen showing the newly bound source. To name it, select the source name, tap Edit, enter a name, and Save. Repeat for each AU7001 added.
    5. After naming, press "Done" to return to the Legrand Digital Audio System home page, where the bound source is now shown and available to use.

    Adding Music Sources

    TuneIn Radio

Go to Settings > Music Services. TuneIn Radio appears as a default source. If you have an account, select TuneIn, enter your credentials, and press "Done."

    Pandora, Rhapsody, SiriusXM, and Others

Go to Settings > Music Services to see available music service choices. Select the desired service and enter your account credentials (or set up/try a free service where available). Pandora offers free and paid tiers; Rhapsody and SiriusXM are paid services.

Tip: for optimized sound quality, set volume to approximately 75%. Tapping the volume button on the slider toggles Mute on/off.

    Networked Music Libraries

If you have music stored on a NAS drive or a computer on the home network, go to Settings > Music Library > Add Share to set up LAN-based music file servers.

    Software Updates

The AU7001 checks for software updates every 24 hours. If an update is available, you'll be prompted — select Continue to view the change log, then Install Now. On the final confirmation screen, select "Install" to begin; the app will show an "Updating System..." screen and confirm once the installation is complete.
