Complete installation instructions for the Legrand On-Q AU7001 Digital Audio Input Module.
The Digital Audio Input Module (AU7001) provides access to streaming music services and music files stored on computers/storage devices connected to the home network. Up to four AU7001 units can be used in a single Digital Audio system. The AU7001 is powered by the AU7000 Digital Audio Distribution Module, set up via the Legrand Digital Audio app (iOS/Android), and controlled through that app or via Digital Audio Amplified Keypads.
This device is verified to comply with Part 15 Class B of the FCC Rules.
Go to Settings > Music Services. TuneIn Radio appears as a default source. If you have an account, select TuneIn, enter your credentials, and press "Done."
Go to Settings > Music Services to see available music service choices. Select the desired service and enter your account credentials (or set up/try a free service where available). Pandora offers free and paid tiers; Rhapsody and SiriusXM are paid services.
Tip: for optimized sound quality, set volume to approximately 75%. Tapping the volume button on the slider toggles Mute on/off.
If you have music stored on a NAS drive or a computer on the home network, go to Settings > Music Library > Add Share to set up LAN-based music file servers.
The AU7001 checks for software updates every 24 hours. If an update is available, you'll be prompted — select Continue to view the change log, then Install Now. On the final confirmation screen, select "Install" to begin; the app will show an "Updating System..." screen and confirm once the installation is complete.
