Installation instructions for the Legrand Intuity Command Center (HA7110) — the primary fixed user interface providing complete system control of the Intuity Home Automation Control System, designed to house a customer's iPad Mini in a three-gang wall mount.

    Overview

The HA7110 Intuity Command Center is the primary fixed user interface designed to provide complete system control of the Intuity Home Automation Control System. It requires a three-gang electrical box or mud ring for on-wall mounting, and is designed to house the customer's iPad Mini for operation with a downloaded iOS App. The front panel includes dedicated Intercom Buttons and Audio Buttons alongside the recessed iPad Mini display.

    Installation Steps

    1. Cut a three-gang-sized hole in the wall at the desired Command Center mounting location and install a three-gang electrical box or mud ring.
    2. Run two Cat 5 cables and one 16/2 speaker wire from the enclosure location to the three-gang electrical box at the desired mounting location. Terminate both ends of the Cat 5 cables to the TIA/EIA 568A wiring standard with RJ45 plugs.
    3. At the Command Center location, run an additional Cat 5 (optional) to any intended audio local input location, and two 16/2 speaker wires to the speakers in the Command Center room. After running cables, attach the Command Center back mounting plate to the three-gang box / mud ring.
    4. At the Command Center location, attach the appropriate Cat 5 and speaker wires to the correct locations as marked on the electronic assembly. Also attach the supplied custom USB cable and Audio cable to the assembly before sliding it into place on the back plate and securing it with the provided screws. (Wiring points on the assembly are labeled: To iPad Mini, To Intercom, To ADM, Local Input, and 24VDC/GRD/L+/L-/R-/R+ terminals.)
    5. At the enclosure: attach the intercom Cat 5 cable to the SCI module, the audio Cat 5 cable to the Audio Distribution Module, and the 16/2 speaker wire to the Audio Power Distribution Module. In the Command Center room, connect the Cat 5 to the Local Source and the speaker wires to the room speakers.
    6. At this point, the only loose cable should be the custom lightning cable and audio cable, which attach to the customer's iPad Mini before placing it in the mounting assembly and securing it with the magnetically-attached front cover. The physical installation is now complete.
