Legrand HT2001-WH-V1 — HDMI Premium In-Wall Connection Kit Installation

Installation guide for the Legrand HDMI Premium In-Wall Connection Kit (P/N HT2001-WH-V1, Doc. #1507088) — a complete kit for running an HDMI connection through a wall between a source device and a display.

Overview

The HDMI Premium In-Wall Connection Kit lets you route an HDMI signal inside a wall for a clean installation — for example, connecting a media player or set-top box on one side of the wall to a TV on the other, with no visible cable run.

Kit Components

• Decora-style wall plate mounting bracket (mud ring) with mounting holes for a standard electrical box
• Blank white Decora-style wall plate with rectangular cutout for one side of the run
• HDMI pass-through wall plate insert — a metal insert plate with a built-in HDMI port, plus two additional keystone insert slots for optional connectors (e.g. USB, audio)
• Second white Decora-style wall plate for the HDMI insert side
• Mounting screws for securing wall plates to electrical boxes/brackets
• Pre-terminated HDMI cable that runs through the wall between the two wall plate locations

Installation Overview

1. Mount an electrical box or mud ring at each wall location (source side and display side).
2. Run the pre-terminated HDMI cable through the wall between the two box locations.
3. Install the mounting bracket and blank wall plate at the source-side location.
4. Install the HDMI pass-through insert and its wall plate at the display-side location, connecting the HDMI cable to the port on the insert.
5. Secure both wall plates in place with the provided screws.

The blank wall plate location can also be used for other AV connections, while the HDMI insert plate provides the pass-through connectivity to the display.
