The In-Wall PREMIUM BT & In-Wall FM/DAB Display (Eissound/KBSound ref. 328x1, 328x2, 527x6, 527x7) is a standalone audio module offering four audio channels: Bluetooth Audio, FM/DAB Radio, and two stereo (or four mono) audio inputs. The FM/DAB-only version (328x1, 328x2) is ideal as a standalone radio, while the PREMIUM BT version (527x6, 527x7) adds Bluetooth Audio for a complete audio system.

Installation Overview

Basic installation wires power (~120/230V to V+ / GND terminals 2 & 4), speaker outputs (terminals 05/06/04, 8Ω / 1.5W), and up to two stereo external audio sources into terminals 15/16 (L1 stereo) and 25/26 (L2 stereo).

Terminal Layout

FM / DAB Antenna

For FM installations, connect a 75cm wire to the antenna terminal (A). For DAB installations, connect a 31cm wire to the antenna terminal (A). Locate the antenna as far as possible from electrical noise sources (halogen lamps, HVAC, fluorescent bulbs) and other installation wires. To improve reception, use a 75/50 ohm amplified antenna instead of the bare wire. For DAB, a DAB aerial is strongly recommended.

Installation Menu (Installer Setup)

To activate the installation menu: with the module in OFF status, press the Χ (down) and + keys simultaneously for 6 seconds. Use the Χ/Λ keys to scroll through the menu, +/− to change values, and CH to confirm the selection.

• Language — ENG, ESP, FRA, GER
• Auto ON/OFF — default OFF on power-up; Auto ON starts in IDEAL mode when powered
• Mono/Stereo — audio output mode
• Audio Output — 8 Ohm, 16 Ohm, Line level, AMP1 (for Eissound amps ref. 13102/13203), or AMP2 (for ref. 13204)
• Balance — left/right balance, −15 to +15
• Volume Limit — caps max user volume, 00–99
• Menu Lock — locks/unlocks user menu and FM/DAB memory management
• L1 / L2 Enable — toggles whether each input channel appears in the channel selector
• L1 / L2 Mono/Stereo/Mix — STEREO (default, one stereo input), MONO (two independent mono inputs, e.g. L-IN 11 and L-IN 12), or MIX (two independent inputs mixed together at output)
• L1 / L2 Input Level — NORMAL (100 series), PROF (professional), or OTHER (Euroconnector level)
• L1 / L2 Label — customize the on-screen source name: L-IN 1/2 (default), BT, TV, or FM-CEN (only available when the channel is set to STEREO)
• FM Central — connects the 100-series central FM tuner to input L1 or L2
• Terminal 0 — sets terminal 0/62 role: CENTRL (100-series FM tuner terminal 0) or AMP (ceiling amplifier ref. 13204 terminal 62)
• Factory Reset — press CH to reset
• Version — press CH to check firmware version

User Menu

To activate: with the module OFF, press the Χ (down) key for 3 seconds.

• FM Memory Delete — clears all FM favorites
• FM Forced Mono — forces mono FM reception (recommended for weak signals)
• FM Sensitivity — adjusts auto-seek sensitivity (Sens 1–3)
• Do Not Disturb — blocks incoming calls (only when connected to 100-series audio system)
• Call Volume — call message reception volume, 00–99
• Light On — display brightness in ON status, levels 1–5
• DAB Services Scan — scans/updates available DAB services (auto-runs on first DAB selection if no services found)
• DAB Memory Delete — clears all DAB favorites

Basic Operation

• FM Manual Scan — select the FM channel with CH, then long-press Λ/Χ to scan stations.
• DAB Services — selecting DAB auto-scans all available stations; long-press Λ/Χ to scroll through them.
• FM/DAB Memory Program — press Λ + simultaneously for 3 seconds to save the current station to favorites (max 10). Short-press Λ/Χ to scroll saved memories.
• FM/DAB Memory Delete — press Χ and − simultaneously for 3 seconds to remove the current station from favorites.
• FM Fine Tuning — press CH and + simultaneously for 3 seconds. Short presses on +/− step 50kHz at a time; long presses sweep continuously.

Bluetooth Pairing (527x6 / 527x7 only)

1. Press CH and select the "BT" channel.
2. Check the device ID (press Λ for 3 seconds) and password (press Χ for 3 seconds).
3. Open your phone/tablet's Bluetooth settings and select the shown ID (e.g. "1221 PREMIUM BT").
4. Enter the password shown on the unit (e.g. 8712) — only required the first time you pair.
5. Confirm the unit shows as connected in your device's Bluetooth menu.

Note: if the "STAR" companion app is running when pairing, close it first.

Keyboard Shortcuts

• Equalization — press CH for 3 seconds, then use Λ/Χ to pick from 12 pre-equalization modes.
• Timer — press ON/OFF for 3 seconds, then set the auto-standby elapsed time with +/−.
• Set Ideal — press + and − simultaneously to recall the previously saved Ideal mode.
• Save Ideal — press + and − simultaneously for 3 seconds to save volume, EQ, channel, and station (if FM) as the Ideal mode.
• Bluetooth ID / Password — on the BT channel, press Λ for 3 seconds (ID) or Χ for 3 seconds (password).
• FM Fine Tuning / Forced Mono — on the FM channel, CH+− (tuning) or CH+Λ (mono toggle), each held 3 seconds.
• FM/DAB Favorites Program / Delete — Λ++ (save) or Χ+− (delete), held 3 seconds.
• User Menu / Installation Menu — with the unit OFF, Χ for 3 seconds (user menu) or Χ++ for 6 seconds (installation menu).

Wiring Diagram — With Amplifier (Ref. 13204)

When paired with the Eissound ceiling amplifier (ref. 13204), the unit's line output (terminals 62, 65, 4, 66 or similar) feeds the amplifier's line input, and the amplifier drives the 8Ω speakers from its own speaker output terminals (L+/L−/R+/R−). In this configuration, the four audio input channels (L11, L12, L21, L22) can each accept an independent mono external audio source.

Input Channel Modes (Annex Reference)

• L1/L2 = STEREO — a single stereo input on the L1 (terminals 15/16) or L2 (terminals 25/26) pair.
• L1/L2 = MONO — the same terminal pair becomes two independent mono inputs (e.g. L11 on terminal 15, L12 on terminal 16).
• L1/L2 = MIX — two independent mono inputs on the same terminals, mixed together at the output.
