Overview

The KBSound (EISsound) In-Wall Bluetooth Audio Receiver is a compact module that fits into a standard Decora wallplate, letting you stream music from any Bluetooth device (A2DP/AVRCP profiles) directly to in-ceiling or in-wall speakers, or add a wired 3.5mm audio input. It includes a stereo line output for connecting to an optional Audio Control unit or Auxiliary Amplifier.

Installation

The Module fits into a standard DECORA wallplate. We recommend a one- or two-gang UL/CSA-approved 18 cubic-inch plastic junction box for the rough-in back box. Do not use metal back boxes, which may interfere with the Bluetooth signal.

• You may connect two 8-ohm speakers, or up to four 16-ohm speakers.
• Power supply: 15VDC / 0.8A (12W), included.

Controls

• Max volume limit switch (rear, 2 positions: MAX / MID / LOW) — sets the maximum volume allowed in normal operation; defined by the installer.
• Mono/stereo switch (rear) — selects mono or stereo audio output.
• Operating key — press and hold 4 seconds to turn the Module on/off.

LED Status Indicator

• Blue flashing — waiting for pairing and connecting with the Bluetooth device.
• Blue solid — Module is connected to the Bluetooth device.
• Red solid — an external audio input (3.5mm jack) has been inserted; this overrides Bluetooth mode.

Bluetooth ID

Each Module identifies itself as KINGBT-XXXX (XXXX is a serial number), letting the user select the correct module when multiple units co-exist in the same installation.

Pairing

1. Before pairing, confirm your Bluetooth device supports A2DP / AVRCP profiles. Keep the device close to the Module during pairing.
2. The Module remains in pairing mode for one minute after the blue LED begins flashing. If no connection is made in that time, the Module powers off and the process must be repeated.
3. Open Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet/PC and select the KINGBT-XXXX device to pair (only required the first time per device).
4. Once connected, the blue LED stops flashing and stays on while the device remains within range (approx. 10 meters).
5. The Module automatically turns off 1 minute after Bluetooth is disconnected or you leave the coverage range.
